Now we have a really good team at 9 and 3, but that's not enough to lead the division. Arg! That's frustrating.
Don't get me wrong, I love the 9 and 3. I remember the 5 and 11 seasons, and the feeling that we would never get any better. We're definitely a lot better than that, but, man, I hunger for playoff wins.
Oh, and I really, really, really, really hate the Eagles and especially their fans. I want them to exit the playoffs in the most humiliating fashion possible. Here's the Eagles playoff game, if I had a magic wand:
The Eagles play whoever in the divisional round, and in the first quarter, they go up 42 to nothing. They start celebrating like crazy on the sidelines. They show fans in the stands yelling crap like, "We're the best. We're going all the way for sure," and all their usual crap.
The other team's starting QB is out hurt and cannot come in to play. However, in the second quarter, that backup QB gets filled with the spirit of Frank Reich, they start scoring like mad, and the defense comes to life and stops the Eagles, and gets some pick sixes. By the 4th quarter, the score is 42 to 37, and the other team gets the ball back on their own 10 yard line with only 30 seconds left. They manage to get to the 50 yard line with only 5 seconds to spare and the clock stopped. Then that backup QB throws a successful Hail Mary TD as time expires. Final score:
Eagles: 42
Some other NFC Team: 43
They show Eagles fans in pubs sobbing and throwing fits. "We're such morons. We celebrated too early."
They interview the Eagles head coach, and has the sheer genius comment, "Well ... uh ... we didn't want them to score that last touchdown. If they hadn't scored that TD, we would have had the most points, so we would have won, b-b-bbut they did score that TD, so they had more points and so they won."
The reporter just stands there dumbfounded, and all he can say is, "Um ... yeah ... that's how it works."
