Remember when we wondered if 9 and 7, 8 and 8, or even 7 and 9 would win the division?

Now we have a really good team at 9 and 3, but that's not enough to lead the division. Arg! That's frustrating.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 9 and 3. I remember the 5 and 11 seasons, and the feeling that we would never get any better. We're definitely a lot better than that, but, man, I hunger for playoff wins.

Oh, and I really, really, really, really hate the Eagles and especially their fans. I want them to exit the playoffs in the most humiliating fashion possible. Here's the Eagles playoff game, if I had a magic wand:

The Eagles play whoever in the divisional round, and in the first quarter, they go up 42 to nothing. They start celebrating like crazy on the sidelines. They show fans in the stands yelling crap like, "We're the best. We're going all the way for sure," and all their usual crap.

The other team's starting QB is out hurt and cannot come in to play. However, in the second quarter, that backup QB gets filled with the spirit of Frank Reich, they start scoring like mad, and the defense comes to life and stops the Eagles, and gets some pick sixes. By the 4th quarter, the score is 42 to 37, and the other team gets the ball back on their own 10 yard line with only 30 seconds left. They manage to get to the 50 yard line with only 5 seconds to spare and the clock stopped. Then that backup QB throws a successful Hail Mary TD as time expires. Final score:

Eagles: 42
Some other NFC Team: 43

They show Eagles fans in pubs sobbing and throwing fits. "We're such morons. We celebrated too early."

They interview the Eagles head coach, and has the sheer genius comment, "Well ... uh ... we didn't want them to score that last touchdown. If they hadn't scored that TD, we would have had the most points, so we would have won, b-b-bbut they did score that TD, so they had more points and so they won."
The reporter just stands there dumbfounded, and all he can say is, "Um ... yeah ... that's how it works."

I remember thinking this team would finish at 9-8 or 8-9 then when Dak went down I thought 4 wins would be asking too much.

This team has chemistry or something. This year is very different than past years. I think it is Micah Parsons that has changed the attitude of this team.

If it could somehow happen, a Super Bowl victory would be the sweetest ever. We we beat our arch rival Eagles, and then got another Lombardi after 2 and a half decades of mediocrity, it would mean so much. I don't want to get my hopes up, though. Been disappointed many times.

We're un a good spot and starting to get healthier and in a groove.

Lol, you know what else didn't age well was me saying we wouldn't win 3 games this year after week 1. I think back to opening night and I honestly felt we would be in contention for the #1 pick. Now we're in contention for the championship. Didn't see that coming in the offseason and especially after week 1. Sometimes being wrong is awesome.

Go Cowboys!!!

Me too. After that atrocious performance against Tampa Bay, and our starting quarterback being injured, I thought maybe we would win about 4 or 5 games. Turns out, this defense is pretty darn good, and we have two quarterbacks we can win with. Cooper Rush's performance was a huge welcome surprise. I remember Tony Romo going down, and trying to win with the likes of Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel at QB. I think between the two of them, we won one game.

Dak goes down and Rush goes 4 and 1. I'll take it.

I for one tried to warn the faithful how good the Eagles would be this year.

Who is "we?" I always had the Cowboys winning 11-12 games.. Had no thought one way or the other about the rest of the teams in the division other than anticipating they would be better.. I just questioned whether they could close the 20 points per game average deficit they suffered when they played the Cowboys. Looks like they all closed it some.. We won't know if the Eagles exceeded it or just got a little closer until Christmas Eve.

17 games still feels stupid. Think they’re gonna go to 18 and add a bye week

I agree completely. I also don't think the fan base was clamoring for more games. Most people thought 16 games were plenty. If it were up to me, I would have them go back to a 16-game schedule, but I'd doubt they'll do that. They'll probably go to 18.

I love football . I think 18 works. They can just do a snap limit on players. Which adds extra strategy. Creates more jobs for nflpa too

I had 12.

I just didn't see more loses on our schedule than that and was questioned by people like @MountaineerCowboy who said 8. LOL.

I guess he could have meant 8 by December lol
