Remembering drive-in movies

Back in the day if my neighbor and I sat on the roof of my house about 11:00 at night, we could see the nudie film playing.

Ah, its funny now.

Always a great experience. The Great American families in their cars at an outdoor movie, what’s not to like.

The last time I was at in drive in movie theatre was probably 15 or so years ago. We had rented a house in Maine on the water for two weeks. Looking for stuff to do and I see that the Saco Drive In is only about 40 min away. Anyway, we go and it was a great summer evening. CARS the movie had just come out so we saw that plus another one I believe. Saco Drive In is the 2nd oldest drive in in the country. Hot as all hell and plenty of mosquitoes so continually closing the sunroof and running the ac. Still a great evening. The three of us, daughter was maybe 11-12 or so.
