I think this draft is the best opportunity to inject new blood to the OL, an area of utmost importance for the success of any team, and this draft has many good players in that area, Zack Martin is getting old and Tyron Smith is on his way out, I would select up to 3 OL, but I think 2 would be fine.

  • 26.
    Darnell Wright
    OT Tennessee
(a player I think is better than Tyles Smith and Terence Steele, could still play guard, would give the OL more flexibility)
  • 58.
    Gervon Dexter
    DT Florida
(very good DL, would be a plus against the run and pressure on the QB.)
  • 90.
    Tank Bigsby
    RB Auburn
    (the ideal complement to Pollard)
  • 129.
    Jon Gaines II
    OC/OG UCLA
(can play Center and Guard, very good alternative and contingency plan for what may happen with Biadasz)

None of the OL in this draft are better than Tyler Smith.

Darnell Wright. Ok. Very good player. RT or OG. Would likely be a better OG than Torrence...

Dexter. Ok, but I prefer Benton.

Bigsby. Ok.

Jon Gaines. I don't see him as an upgrade to Biadasz.

I certainly like your idea of completing our offensive line. No problem at all.
I do wonder about Wrights Mobility and do see him as a really good guard. And that our weak spot. I see Torrance with a nastier streak but more limited movement wise. I don’t know is the best use of our first round we’re in a pretty good spot To upgrade several skill positions.

If we're putting Tyron at RT this year because we're not satisfied with Steele's pass blocking then Wright makes a whole lot of sense. He can play LG this year so we don't have to start Edoga or try Steele there and he can take over at RT when Tyron retires (Steele could handle it this year when Tyron gets hurt). Wouldn't mind having our two new bookends in him and Tyler.

Near idential forty and ten yard times as Terrence Steele while outweighing Steele by 21 pounds.

Better Short Shuttle, Vert an B-Jump than Steele.

Steele with better arm length / wingspan.

I really don't think this is the draft to complete the OL. From our pick and beyond, you are probably getting an average starter. People will forget Torrence, Schmitz and Avilia were top 50 picks by this time next year

I'd actually like it better if we drafted Wright and he played well at guard for us to keep him there and play Steele at tackle. I think Steele has played pretty well at tackle, and that keeps us from having to address LG again next year.

Isn’t a line of Tyron, Tyler, Badacz, Martin and Steele one of the best in the league? Offensive line depth is needed but our starters are good.

Problem is Tyron; counting on him for a full season is just not smart anymore. When he goes down which recent history says he will, then Tyler moves over and we have a rather significant hole at LG.
So we need to concentrate there for this draft as regards the O line. My personal plan would be BPA first rd and best guard as long as one of the ones available is a legit 2nd rd talent.

True but you can say that about Quarterback, running back, pass rusher and any position. Just take the best position that is available.
