Resting Micah within games

Today the giants TD drive came after we scored. Micah played one play that drive. Giants score.
After one of our touchdowns in the 3rd. We took the lead, giants get two long runs to midfield. Micah comes in and the drive stalls at midfield. Happened earlier in the year a couple times. as well. He goes off the field, ball moves, he comes back and drives stall. He's obviously that good.

Let me be clear I have no issue resting Micah for a series or two in a game. Especially when he's dealing with little injuries here and there. My issue is there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when he's given that rest.

When we need him most, to get a key stop after a score. He's given a rest, but then in the fourth quarter with the game out of reach, two weeks in a row he's playing in garbage time? It makes no sense.

I think Micah goes 110 percent every play and never stops hustling that he needs breaks … unfortunately. Just the way he’s built. The best part is the mini break. We will be getting a rested Parsons for the final five games…bonus…

A lot of things these coaches do don't make sense. Parsons should be on the field every possession, especially after a team crosses the 50.
If he was completely healthy he probably would be. ,But he’s battling a knee and ankle injury. I don’t have a problem resting him as long as we’re in control at least somewhat and if it’s not a game determining drive.

Let me preface this statement with #11 is fastly becoming my favorite players along with 88.
I do think he goes all out every play and he garners a lot of attention BUT

I just don’t think his effectiveness goes much beyond his ability to get to the qb. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great talent and a necessary one but the way to neutralize him is run at him or short passes where he vacated

the poor guy gets doubled and tripled every play. We need some other folks to get tougher like he is. I love his leadership it’s second to none
I like Dak and I hear all about his leadership but I’d take Micah’s all day long over his
I am so tired of seeing LVE end up in the wrong spot we need another LB
I also don’t think Micah has the body for this to hold up long term
He essentially our best DE coming at the qb from different positions and his body in year 2 is certainly feeling it

Like it was said our level of play shouldn't drop off that bad when he's out

Sometimes teams just move the ball. Rather your best player is in there or not. They make an adjustment, move the ball. Then it is up to Quinn to adjust back.

He doesn't need to be rested. He's a lion. They need to stop treating him like a kitten.

Is it time to make Micah a "situational rusher"? Hear me out, when DQ's coaches sees the offensive personnel grouping go heavy should they sub Parsons to get him rest on run downs?

If the Cowboys are going to force an undersized
player to be a full time DE he’s going to have to rest quite a bit during games. He’s not built for it which is why some of us want to see more of the ball LBr mixed in.

How exactly would they know when it would be a good time to rest him, other than when he feels the need to rest? People say they rest him at bad times, as if DQ's should be thinking, "Okay, the other team is going to throw it five times to the left side of the field on this series, so make sure Micah's in there."

Parcells tried that with Ware and that's what the opposing OC's were waiting for and they took advantage. And I think Parsons is more that "we have to know where he is at all times" than Ware was. Even though Parsons has a better defense than Ware did.

Both Parsons and Ware expend a lot of energy early in games and it is a good idea to have them as fresh as possible in the 4Q,

I also think moving Parsons around takes more energy out of him. It is also a double-edged sword with Parsons. They want to give him some time within the games but they also saw the team lose a 14 point lead in the 4Q for the first time in history.

Take Parsons off this D, just like Ware off his, and it is a very average D.
