Just curious if you were in charge of a re-do how would you rank these guys now?

Cutler, Young and Leinart.

I think Cutler is more of the product of bad coaching right now. I think Shanny is a good coach, but he was thrown to the wolves a little earlier than he probably should have been. Then he got traded to Chicago. Ron Turner's offense sucks. Now they have Martz, which doesn't exactly protect the QB. He needed more of a Tony Romo type plan of development....sit him for 1-2 years, protect him and have him focus on protecting the ball. Then unleash him. Instead it was start him as a rookie and unleash him in year two and neglect the focus on protecting the ball. I watched a lot of Bears games last year and he pretty much kept them in games and lost games for them. On one hand his O-Line stunk and he had to make incredible off balance throws. OTOH, he would tend to make those throws when the protection was there and throw interceptions.

Young has less upside as a QB IMO because he's never going to be an elite passer of the ball. But he should be able to protect the ball and help with the run. He does have a good winning percentage. Getting to the SB is a big question for me though.

Leinart's mechanics were really poor going to the NFL. I remember back in '07 I had a friend of mine living in Phoenix who has TiVo and he recorded pretty much all of the Arizona games so I got to see him when looking at Leonard Davis. Davis got skewered by the media for sacks allowed, but when I looked at the games, I could clearly tell that most of those were QB error as Leinart's footwork pocket presence were very poor. I think he piqued in life in college and just never really understood how to continue that pique into the NFL.

It's kind of like rating STD's.

I don't want any of them, even if some aren't as bad as others.

#1 - Cutler - Put him under a guy like Norv Turner and he could be very good.

#2 - Vince Young - He does have a knack for winning, but the guy is not a good passer.

#3 - Leinhart - Don't know if the light will ever turn on for the guy. We will see this season when the games count.

Vince Young passed the ball well last season when getting the job back, but didn't put up big #'s because they didn't throw much. Led the best end of game drive in NFL history all with his arm. We'll see if they loosen the reigns this season so we can learn more. Has been very accurate in the preseason, something like 77%. One bad decision that ended in a pick, we'll see if that continues to be a problem. But he only had 7 picks in 10 games last season which ain't bad. And his winning % can't be ignored. Don't see how Cutler could be ranked ahead right now just due to the fact that he just doesn't it. Not a good attitude or leader, don't see him being a guy to ever protect the ball.

All I know you need to know about Leinart is there are lingerie models playing football with stronger arms.

I'd take Vince Young first, because he knows how to win and his arm's not as bad as everybody would like you to think. Cutler's got decent potential and he could be better than Vince Young, but I don't think he's a good enough leader to be ranked ahead of him and he hasn't proven to be the winner in the NFL that Vince Young has thus far. Matt Leinart's at the bottom of the list, he suck. Anybody can argue Vince Young and Jay Cutler, but my God no one in this world wants Matt Leinart. I'd rather start Derek Anderson, a former Pro Bowl QB who has more potential at this point with a good line than Matt Leinart.

I think that Cutler and Martz will be a great combo. He is hands down the best QB in his draft class

Cutler may be the best deep thrower(40+ yards) in the NFL. Vince Young at his best is a average QB, usually is in the bottom 6, and Leinart is a 3rd stringer.
