As some of you know, I like watching the X League from Japan. The rule they have is that only 4 foreigners can be on each team, and only 2 foreigners can be on the field for each team in a given play. The point is to be a league largely for Japanese players to develop. The Rice Bowl is basically their Super Bowl, and it is played in the Tokyo Dome (also, a baseball dome, hence the baseball markings). The video is the highlights (yes, the announcers are announcing in Japanese, so you can mute if necessary). But, that said, I hope you all enjoy watching the highlights I found of Rice Bowl 2025. This was played a few days ago.

Any NFL level talent there?

Not sure. I know we have Aubrey, but the kickers have massive legs. I like the some of the playcalls. I especially like the play where they flipped it to the RB who threw it to the QB. That was creative. So, maybe they have a coach that we can have as an intern here. So, we possibly could develop an OC that way.

I liked what I saw from LG 62 of the Panasonic (the team in white) Impulse (they're a team from Osaka, Japan).

The guard's name is Shogo Sanada. He's about 6'1" and 282 lbs. Not huge, but he looks pretty quick, and I like the way he plays with leverage. He could be an option to bring in as a mini camp invite, and I could see him being a decent option as an international pathways project for us. Especially with Zach Martin likely retiring, I'd be curious to see how he handles himself.

I also like the running back from Panasonic.

He's about 5'10 and about 220 lbs. He looks like he could be a good option as a camp invite too. I like his break away speed, and he looks like a good sized RB. He could be a RB option, and we do need RB help. His name is Genmei Tachikawa. I could imagine Jerry seeing him as a marketing opportunity in Japan too, especially if he ends up making the team. Not that it's saying much, but I could see Tachikawa being able to at least beat Vaughn out for a 53 man/ps spot.

The 3rd player that caught my eye was Panasonic 18

https://panasonic.co.jp/ew/go-go-impulse/member/kuwata_risuke/

He's about 5'9" and 176 lbs. He's not big, but he was frequently making plays during the game. So, my 3 players for Panasonic (who won) are Sanada, Tatusukawa, and Kuwata. I think either of these 3 would be good camp invites. I think my top option would be Tatusukawa. He's got actual NFL size, and he looked good when he had the ball. He looks like a downhill runner to me, and I think he'd make an interesting camp invite if Jerry would give him a chance.

I prefer the WR from Hitachi.
