Well,

My girl and I decided to stop playing Rift. We have done all of the content on easy and on expert. We both have T1 and T2 Epics w/ weps.

There isn't nothing left for us to do. :(

It's a great game but there are some major content issues atm. I also expect Blizzard to come sue the pants off of Trion w/in the next 6 months or so. They have robbed soooo many things from WoW, it isn't even funny.

Rifting is fun...good gear and all

PVP - The Warfronts are a JOKE

PvE - Did it all

We are moving over to EvE. I remember playing EvE a long while back but really had nobody to play it with. She's excited to try a different genre game and I am looking forward to catching up on all of the new EvE content.

How are those playing Rift doing? What do you think of the game so far?

I'm pretty much in the same boat you're in. I steamrolled to 50 with my rogue, got my T2 gear and waited, hoping I could get in on some Greenscale. Never happened, and wouldn't matter much if it did.

It was right around the time of the patch, as I was watching the combo points wrap around my target's portrait, that I recalled that I played this exact game for years before Rift came out and right then decided to cancel my 3 month sub.

It's not a bad game and Trion had some good/great ideas, but you're right...the content is severely lacking and I just can't shake the WoWness of the game. I know all MMORPG's are illegitimate children of UO and share similarities, but Rift is a shameless clone and it would floor me if Blizz doesn't try to knock some heads.

That said, I'll probably re-up my sub right before the first expansion rolls around to see if it's worth playing again, but that depends a lot on what the Star Wars release schedule looks like and whether or not I'm making sweet, sweet love to Diablo 3 by then.

Time to get outside and enjoy.

Im outside enough. There is still 15 inches of snow on the ground here in Anchorage, AK. though, so I can't get my bike setup just yet.

We do plenty outside. My son and I are both avid snowboarders and I have 2 gorgeous new Ski-Doo's I picked up earlier this year that we ride.

The family has a cabin at Big Lake, AK. and we are usually there most weekends camping. My gaming is done after work and way to early into the morning.

Our guild took down Green Scale the other night. That is really what got us to talking about what to do next. It was funny. We got a really nice lengendary off of him. A staff that looks identical to the Tanglewood druid staff in WoW. The same exact animation too.

I ran over to the D3 site last nigth and spent far to much time catching up on all of the new things in D3. Talk about an amazing game. It can't get here fast enough.

I miss OU. The old OU w/o Trammel.

Wasn't UO offering up an old world server or 2 or am I confusing that w/ EQ?

Sounds like you burned yourself out quick. My highest character is still in his 30s. So I'm still playing about 6 hours a week or so. It's fun but not addicting.

As far as EvE goes, it's as much fun as you make it. It really helps if you find a group of people with similar interest and play times. I'm guessing you'd enjoy something in null sec space.

I think you are right. She and I did really burn ourselves out pretty fast. It as easy to do because we could always do quests and get groups extremely fast for whatever content we wanted to run.

I played the 50 tank and she played the 50 Cleric healer.

Tank n Healer LFG T2AP/CC/DSM PST :laugh2:

Summer is coming and it will severely impact our playing time, as it should.

It's almost vacation time. Best time of the year.

Still looking forward to playing EvE and looking towards D3 launch.

Oh man, you're in heaven up there! I envy you. Do you do any fishing or hunting? If not, I'll show you how to hunt and fish for an invite?

Is the UO Second Age shard the one you're talking about? I've been thinking about firing that up again for the longest but I'd probably end up disappointed. IMO, with very few exceptions, video games are better left in the era they came out of. I do have some great memories of that game (and Meridian59!), though.

And yeah, I wish I actually had days to count down until Diablo is released. I've been waiting for this for a very, very long time.
