Rivals Video of Senior Bowl practice -- DB v. WR 1 on 1

Good post. Loved watching the 1-on-1 matchups. Also, loved the Sweed video, on the home page, where he talks briefly about playing for Dallas. Thanx.

great stuff....

I hate to admit it, but Caldwell looked really good - totally blew away Castille on that second route. But Caldwell from Florida just doesn't sit right.

I didn't think much of Chevis Jackson....and what's with the sweats?

Agreed. Apparently he was one of the better receivers out there. I'd take him in round 2 or 3.

I think Doucet looked really sharp in his route running, which was kind of unexpected for me. He did a good job of catch away from his body on that comeback route too. The drop he had on the 4th ball was catchable though, a difficult catch, but still catchable.

Sweed was a little more impressive than I was expecting to, came off the line well and was just fluid out there.

D.J. Wolfe was mighty impressive for someone who played SS last year, Sweed was the only one who got separation on him. Could be a good fit as a mid round pick if Keith Davis leaves.

Personally I thought Chevis Jackson looked pretty good while Leodis McKelvin did not look anywhere near his 1st round grade.

It looked like DJ Hall was either going half speed or he just isn't fast enough, that was dissapointing.

It's fairly hard to analyze a player from four plays...not that you really are. Wolfe was impressive, but having watching a much larger sample of plays on nfl network, I'd have to say that McKelvin does, indeed, deserve his first round grade. He made several of the more impressive plays by cb...from what I've watched. I'd be incredibly happy with him at 22.

Doucet did look pretty sharp out there. He surprised me with his quickness...I'm not sure why, I always just assumed he plodded around a bit. I was wrong.

I thought Chevis Jackson looked very good in those drills as well.

Cromartie with a pic, nice:cool: and Sweed looked like the best wr out there..

Oh yeah, I agree, I was just giving me comments based on that 2 minute video. In those plays though McKelvin just looked kind of lost, glad to hear that hasn't been his showing all week though. Like you, I was surprised by Doucet. Initially I wasn't high on taking him in the first round, but the kid may be able to play at a higher level than I initially thought. I guess this is my official change of heart on Doucet. If we go WR in Rd 1 then I'd be perfectly happy with him.

Yeah, yeah, I'm convinced. I've been underrating him, you were right, he'd be a good pick at 28 and has more Dwayne Bowe in him than Craig Davis. Count me in.

Yup. Quick and runs good routes.

I thought he looked a little wild.

Here is another video of the South's practice with Doucet.

And the North's.

I'm really liking what I'm seeing of and reading about Tracy Porter. I wouldn't mind seeing him as one of our first round selections.

Lee wasn't buying any of Doucet's moves. He was reading the QB at the same time as reading the receiver - which I like. He didn't have the closing speed on those couple of plays to prevent the completion.

McKelvin's coverage might have looked a bit loose and he didn't appear smooth, but I really like how he kept the play in front of him, as opposed to Jackson, who always trailed the receiver (albeit closely) and was unaware of the QB's read (turned early and didn't look back).
