I keep flipping back and forth to it. What have they been doing for the last hour?

well they both made it. 412' on the snowmobile and 378' on the motorcycle. Didn't get the record on the motorcycle. This would be a million times better during daylight hours.

A snowmoblie jumping much farther than a motorcyle? Does not make sense.

The camera shot didn't even show the snow machine.

Pretty cool though.

yep, on the original shot he could have gone in the water and you wouldn't have known. What was funny to me was they had to pull on the start rope 3 times to get it started, maybe that's normal though.

I think that's probably pretty normal for a machine like that.

I'm not sure what characteristic makes the bikes do it but if you ever watch a MotoX race and see someone's bike go down, it can take minutes for them to get it to start again.

I have a buddy who's a huge motorcycle guy. He used to be big into MotoX until he essentially shattered his wrist. He was telling me about it, I'd have to ask again.

One thing I thought was interesting was they made a point of letting the snowmobile cool down prior to going at it.

I think they said Evil Knievel never jumped further than 130', now guys are going that far and doing flips. Hard to believe.

I found this intriguing so I had to read more. It turns out his attempted jump over the fountains at Caesars Palace was his longest attempted jump. That was 141 feet, and he did not make it.

FYI, those two and four stroke sleds are often started after several pulls.

Motorcycles are more powerful and lighter these days to put it mildly

I'm sure Evil wouldn't have minded the new suspensions on a couple of his jumps either.:laugh2:
