When a team can run the ball on offense AND stop the run on defense, your team has a great chance at being successful

Let's look at out Cowboys RUN DEFENSE: they gave up 1910 yards. Comparing that to the other playoff teams:
49ers: 1525 ; Buccaneers: 1620; Packers: 2181; Lions 1509; Texans 1643; Ravens: 1860; Eagles 1758; Dolphins: 1650; Browns 1793: Bills 1880 & Chiefs: 1925
So Dallas is only better than 3 teams and the Packers since Week 13 was Top 5 stopping the run, while Dallas was 31st against the run

Now. let's look at the offense running the ball: Dallas had 1920 yards running the pigskin
49ers: 2389; Bucs: 1509; Packers: 1905; Lions 2311; Texans: 1647; Ravens 2661; Eagles 2190; Dolphins: 2308; Browns 2017; Bills: 2212 & Chiefs: 1784 Colts: 2059
Once again, we see Dallas was one of the bottom 5 running the ball.

Cowboys had 11 rushes over 20 yards and just ONE over 40 yards.....

So when you are bottom of each category, you depend MORE on your QB. Teams don't respect your running game so they put alittle more focus on the passing game.
Now add, that Dallas really had one good WR in Lamb, a WR in Cooks that is a WR3 and Gallup was invisible. Good TE in Fergy and nothing else. Whilte other teams throw to many weapons. Green Bay threw to 8 different receivers vs the Cowboys.

Fix the OL. get a RB. Need DT and LBs to stop the run.

PS: Lions are going to a NFC Conference game for the 1st time in their history because their OL is solid, run the ball and stop the run.
And so far, ALL ALL ALL home teams have won their games. Only one team have lost at home in the playoffs. Another dagger that has to hurt the GM that cares about selling tickets/jerseys

Same problems every year...go back 5 years ago to the Rams playoff game where they couldn't stop the run either. Stephen and Jerry just don't know how to build a championship team. They luck into drafting a few great individual talents every couple of years but they don't have a plan on how to construct an actual team or system.

Go farther back to the loss against the Vikings after beating the eagles in the 1st round. Same sort of meltdown. Both sides of the ball failed. How about against the giants? We were first seed and lost to the giants that year in the first game back after the bye after sweeping them in the regular season. At least the giants went on and defeated the Patriots in the Super Bowl. This is why it's difficult to blame specific players on this loss when BOTH sides of ball were guilty. If this game would've been come down to who made the least mistakes, definitely blame Dak. He had 2 turnovers; one for a pick 6. Unfortunately it didn't. The defense never gave the offense a chance to take the lead. Offense couldn't find itself and the defense couldn't make a stop. What did Micah do? I believe one pressure and tackle, no sacks. So blame individuals if you want, but this was a total cluster f-bomb on both sides of the ball. Coaching/Front office. That's who I blame.
