I almost pulled the trigger and bought tickets for the Dallas show, which happens to be the last show on the tour but I’ve had good success getting great seats at less than face value by waiting until closer to the show. I normally hate doing that, I like to have my tickets guaranteed and in hand well before the concert but after getting front row seats to the Dallas show during his Wall Tour for a very “reasonable” price I’m going to take my chances again.

A little nervous about it being the last show with his age and all, have had some bad experiences with other performers, but it is a spectacle indeed!

How deep does he get into Pink Floyd music? I am not much of a Wall fan, but just about everything between Pipers and Animals I really enjoy. Such a brilliant group. Don't suppose Gilmour would make an appearance.

It depends on the set, I have no idea what his motive/agenda is this time. You probably have a better chance of being struck by lightning than Gilmour making an appearance while you’re there there and that’s hardly an exaggeration. Look at his tour dates and check out song kick for his set list after his first few stops, they’re normally the same. Some people don’t like to know what’s on the set list but I kinda do.

If you’ve never seen it, check out David Gilmour Live at Pompeii, especially if you have Blu Ray but you can see it on You Tube. Run Like Hell and Comfortably Numb are insane, I watch both videos at least once a week. Floyd did a small private set there in the 70’s, otherwise it’s the first and only time a public performance has been held at the ampitheater since 71 AD or something like that. It’s floor standing room only but the light show and the performance itself is spine tingling. Outside of going to another 90’s Pantera show, it would be my number one concert to ever attend. *Being a history major may have a little something to do with that.

Love Floyd's live at Pompeii. I had forgotten Gilmour returned there. I miss the brilliance of that band.

Just announced. Should be a great show. The Wall tour was pretty amazing, I expect the same type of spectacle.

Floyd is one of the few classic rock bands I can still listen too (though I don't own anything anymore). I used to listen to his solo Radio K.A.O.S when I was younger. Think I even have the cassette still in a box somewhere. This would be one show I'd consider going to. Of course like all my favorite punk bands he's skipping right over Indiana. :( guess I don't blame him.

I did the same thing. Ready to pull the trigger on tickets, but think I'll wait until it gets closer. Hoping this show measures up to The Wall. That was insane.

I’m still eye balling tickets but the ones I like on the floor are anywhere from $400-600 each with the fees included. The way the stage is set up for this one, I’m think lower bowl seats about 10-20 rows up may be better than floor seats, even the ones close to the stage.
