any good role playing games online? Thats pretty simple concept and not too hard to get used to?

I know of World of Warcraft. Any others? thanks

Not sure if it's classified as a "role playing game", but Sacred is pretty fun.

It's kind of buggy, but still fun. Haven't played it in awhile, but I was addicted to that game for awhile.

It also has an expansion pack called Sacred: Underworld. Should be able to get both for about $20 - $30.

City of Heroes/City of Villians

Ever Equest 2 (Sony online)

Star Wars Galaxies (though it's population has dropped hard due to extreme game change)

Horizons (Performance issue on client limited this game)

Dark Age Of Cameot but it is now like 7 years old

Ultima Online I think is still going was the orginal but it lags way way behind in a lot of things

Irth Online (Vaporware)

Auto Assualt just came out NCSoft

Linage and Linage2 (Both have a hughe asian following lots of issues with Chinese moffia farmers farming virtual items and gold and ebaying them) This is also NCsoft

Final Fantasy has to be the slowest most painful game to play :banghead:

mmorpg.com has links to a bunch more including future releases or upcoming projects.

Becareful there are a lot of vaporware flooding this market now so I am cyncial on which ones I play and most games are over hyped see Dark and Light I have played there so called Open type Beta it lags way behind on what is already out there imo. Also you can follow a new one coming out and have it die on the vine due to funding or lack of etc etc.

I am currently playing COH/COV have done DAOC,UO,HZ and a few more I have beta tested a bunch more and done trials.

Note a lot of games that have been out a while have free trials for like 14 days

Guild Wars is like a slightly less intensive version of WoW that doesn't have a monthly fee. It's pretty fun.

I played FF when it first came out. If you are independently wealthy, don't go to school and just want to play games 8 hrs per day, that is the one for you. Lots of things to do, just really time consuming and takes commitment - something I can't do with a video game.

City of Heroes is fun for a while, but eventually, all it really is is a 1st person shooter with extras. Not so much to do with this game.

I tried to play lineage II and cancelled my membership the next day. Was very buggy for me, and I didn't like the interface at all. Also wasn't fun to look at.

Yeah. Quit trying to get it for free, go to best buy (or wherever) and pay for the game like you're suppose to.

Oh.

Well in that case, try a different torrent.

mininova
meganova
torrentspy

Those are pretty good.

For the record, I use those to download eps of shows I missed. My f'in DVR likes to NOT record shows it's scheduled to record.

I've played WoW for about a year but it's starting to loose it's luster. I have three characters at the level ceiling, one with some of the best gear in the game. Still, those first 3-6 months are like crack.
