Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo called an audible at his Saturday night wedding to beauty queen-turned-TV broadcaster Candice Crawford according to Alan Peppard of the Dallas Morning News.

The invitation was for 6:30 p.m., and the myriad famous guests made their way through the phalanx of police securing the perimeter of Lee Park to be in their seats at precisely 6:30. But a few stragglers were lucky that the actual nuptials didn't go off until 7 p.m.

Funny how players' private lives can match their on field performance. Tony audibled the start time. Leonard Davis would have jumped the starting time and begun five minutes early. Alex Barron would hold on for as long as he could before saying I do.

NFC East rival quarterbacks Tony Romo(notes) of the Dallas Cowboys and Eli Manning(notes) of the New York Giants now have something else in common — they've used the same wedding planner to help them tie the knot. Todd Fiscus, the man with the plan, set up what he called "man food" at Dallas' Arlington Hall on Saturday, when Romo married former Miss Missouri Candace Crawford. "I have a lot of football players to feed," said Fiscus, who had pizza and short ribs on the menu.

However, Romo apparently put all the tunes together. "Tony picked out every song, and when it plays, and what the keynote things are," Fiscus said.

Yeah right. There is nothing unusual about guests being seated a half hour before the ceremony begins. In fact that's as it should be. So how is that an audible? Strange media.

My brother has it the same way for Romo. The wedding was a very sad day for him.

I am glad to see that maybe now the media will have one less thing to focus on, regarding Tony's personal dating life. I am a huge Romo fan and always hate all the off field attention he gets. I just hope we get a season this year.
