Romo is at practice today....per DC.com *Merge*

Thats great.Bigg also standing up is great.Burnett again?wow.

Rest him at least this week. Coming off an embrassing loss if we can't beat the Rams, who are dead last in the NFL in points scored per game (12.4) and dead last in the NFL in points allowed per game (32.8), with just a running game and a defense then this team isn't a Superbowl contender anyway.

But if nothing else I like the fact that he's out there throwing and keeping his timing with the WRs. And frankly, a few of weeks off to rest the arm at the midpoint of the season, during one of the weakest points of the schedule, isn't the worst thing in the world in the long run.

Romo practices
Quarterback Tony Romo is participating in today's practice. He has his broken finger wrapped and is dressed out for drills.

Romo threw several passes during the open session for the media. He was not working with the first and second team though as Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger took all the reps.

Romo did not take any snaps and threw one pass that almost went end-over-end. He did seem pretty consistent with his accuracy and had good velocity on most of his passes.

Romo and Pinkiegate
Tony Romo was not spotted in the locker today, but I did catch a glimpse of him heading to meetings. His broken right pinkie was bandaged and he was holding up his right hand up near his waist.

Romo wants to play this week, but would that be wise against the Rams? Seriously, the Rams, dude? (in memory of Pacman's great quote) Sounds like a one-week deal with Brad Johnson would work before hosting Tampa Bay.

Tight end Jason Witten said his buddy Romo is throwing the ball hard on the side and trying to convince Wade, Jerry and the trainers he can play. Witten said Romo just has to get comfortable with whatever he decides to wear for protection.

Thinking here that taking snaps may be pretty painful. How about 100 percent shotgun? Center Andre Gurode would be sweating the notion.

Witten says Romo lobbying to play

IRVING - Tony Romo's best friend on the team says the quarterback is doing some intense lobbying to play Sunday against St. Louis.

"Tony has thrown the ball well," tight end Jason Witten said this morning in the locker room. "He's throwing hard...He's trying to encourage all of them. I see him holding court over there with coach Phillips and Mr. Jones. He just has to get comfortable with it, and we'll see."

It, of course, if Romo's broken right pinkie finger. Romo wants to play despite the possibility of him risking further injury that could force him to miss more games or even the remainder of the season.

"Tony is smart," Witten said. "He is going to make the right decision. He is going to do what is best for him. At some point in time, he's going to have to get some timing and throws out there to do it. But I think for all of us, we have to go and prepare with Brad (Johnson) being the guy right now. If Tony is able to do it, then obviously that is encouraging."

For whatever it's worth, linebacker Bradie James says it won't be Romo under center Sunday.

"We know who's going to start. It's going to be Brad," James said.

(How has his throws looked)
Tony has thrown the ball well. He’s done a good job. He’s throwing hard. I mean, he hasn’t thrown in practice or anything, but he’s been tossing them on the side a little bit. He’s trying to encourage all of them. I see him over holding court over their with coach Phillips and Mr. Jones. He just has to get comfortable with it, and we’ll see.

One hand to helmet and it's Brad the rest of the way. Just sit Romo, let some others on the team step up.

how stupid is Bradie James? and this guy is our defensive captain?:bang2:

its football baby. no time for chicken chitz. suck it up wrap it up and shoot it up and lets play some football.

:D

We can win this game with Brad. i say sit Romo.

Next week split reps with Johnson and Romo. Start Johnson, Romo backup.

3 weeks from now, see where Romopinky is at, then decide.

If any case, a clock chewing ball controlling offense is needed to overcome our defensive losses.

2-1 in next 3 games then bye is not too bad.
