Training Room Injury Update - Week 16

Thumb Contusion - An MRI on QB Tony Romo's injured thumb only revealed a contusion and it looks like he will be healthy enough to play next Saturday night against the Panthers. Romo, who was hurt when he was hit as he threw a pass in the second half of Sunday's game, did not miss any playing time. However his thumb appeared to bother him at different points in the third and fourth quarters and it prevented him from getting his game back on track. According to reports X-rays in the locker room after the game were negative, however he was seen wearing a wrap on his thumb as he left the stadium and head coach Wade Phillips told reporters that his thumb was swollen on Monday prior to the MRI. The good news is that his thumb isn't as bad as the team initially feared and the team is reportedly preparing to play with him in Week 16.
