some notes:
* Forte is the bell cow in Detroit and, imo, is now ROY runner up to M Ryan.
* CJ is slumping. DCs have caught up to Tenn and are putting 8-9 in the box...so they are passing. Plus...maybe rookie wall too?
* Had to add BenJarvis Green-Ellis...he deserves it.
* Charles got his 1st NFL TD this week. Rice has not scored yet.
* Both Forte and Johnson have already topped 1000 yards rushing/receiving...expect K Smith and Slaton to get there soon too.

Lmao..I know. He's been better than McGahee and McLain, yet he doesn't get nearly as many carries. He's been their best back out of the backfield too. That being said, he had a horrible game yesterday running the ball with 8 for 7, but he's still averaging over 4.1 per. When he was starting, he was well over 5 per.

Really, I'm not so sure Rice doesn't turn out just fine too. But it is a good argument against anyone being too sure about any one player predraft....then again, this year you could have picked any of 7-8+ backs and gotten a decent one.

The top 6 backs are pretty close in terms of YPC (see below), so the biggest thing separating them all is simply number of carries, which isn't necessarily an indication of how good they are. Forte's a great example -- he has the most yardage, but he's doing the least with his # of carries.

Forte's a great example -- he has the most yardage, but he's doing the least with his # of carries.

What impresses me is that all of those averages are pretty decent. I will say that normally the heavier load that a back has the greater chance that his YPC regresses to the mean.

you guys have to admit, CJ was receiving alot of **** before the draft, and guys like Slaton were seriously overlooked

while the "scouts" pick Ray Rice is a bit player
