Using NFL PFF simulation for available players

#12 Kelvin Banks OT 6’4 320 - Move Tyler Guyton to right and Banks play left or let Banks play right guard until Steel’s contract is up. Banks is an elite tackle prospect that fell. Passed on Jeanty here.

#44 Bhashul Tuten - RB 5’11 215 - who? what? I watch this player move with swivel hips, speed (4.32) and vision and say this style of running is a better fit than Jeanty or Skattebo. I think he will rocket up boards. Perfect zone scheme runner. Get another thunder back later in round 5.

# 77 Nick Emmanwori S 6’3 227 - great safety and we can cut Donovan save that high cap money he has in 2025. Emman won’t fall over himself chasing TEs either with 4.38 sped and size.

You have to be very certain that Banks is an OT and not a guard in the NFL, although maybe they move him to RG like they did with Zack Martin when they drafted him.
I would prefer they not use 44 on a RB. But I would love a 4.3 back on the Cowboys. Breakaway speed keep the defense honest.

I wouldn't take a safety so high either. I just don't think there is value there. I think they can find someone to replace Wilson later in the draft.

But all this is conjecture because we have no idea who falls to Dallas with each of these picks.

Boy, you are gambling with your 2nd and third round picks. I could live with Banks because he would make the overall offensive line better from day 1.

BJ and Higgins in free agency. Just one of the two guys would shock me.

First name on your list I doubt will be a Cowboy.

No way the Cowboys invest that much money into the WR position.

Realistic Alternative:
Restructure - Lamb and Prescott
Extend Parsons - 5 year $175
Extend Bland - 4 year $76 - Cut Diggs in 2026
Extend Smith - 5 Year $100 - The longer we wait the more expensive it will get!
Resign Odighizuwa - 4 Year $65 to $70 (Can't have Mazi as the only DT on the roster)
Resign Lewis - 3 Year $18
Resign Goldston - 2 Year $7
Resign Kendricks - Similar to Vet minimum that he got last year
Tender all RF and ERF - Turpin, Hoffman, Bell, Thomas, Wheat
Going to wait on the market for Dowdle - won’t go over $3 million with a max of 2 years

Free Agency outside the building: not a lot of talent in this years crop:
1 year prove it deal with a CB - Paulson Adebo - hurt most of the year
Sign DT Adam Butler 2 year - $5 million - double his 24 salary
Wait for bargains after, which is usually for this team.

Trade - use a 5th or 6th for a reclamation project - need an LB what about Walker from GB. He has been a bonehead but has some talent.

2025 Draft
1st round - Jeanty - would definitely take other in front if they slip (Carter, Graham but doubtful) would also like to trade down and pick up an additional 3rd
2nd round - any DT still available (Grant, Williams, Collin’s, Harmon, Nolan)
3rd Round - BPA - Savion Williams for example
