I call BULLS--T,thats dead wrong. If that was the case we just made TOs bargining position stronger.

I'm not trying to start a fight here kiheikiwi, but the fact is we had to either pay Key a $1 million roster bonus today or release him. I wish we had kept him, but the facts are the facts...

Keyshawn not surprised by release

The Cowboys opted not to pay the veteran receiver a $1 million roster bonus and will release him, saving $1.5 million against the 2006 salary cap.

The Cowboys had until 3 p.m. Tuesday to pay Johnson the bonus, but decided to cut loose their leading receiver the previous two seasons. In two years with the Cowboys, Johnson caught 141 passes for 1,820 yards and 12 touchdowns.

"I’m not really surprised," Johnson said. "Sports is a business and a team has to do what’s right for it. I’m a little excited about the prospect of being a free agent for the first time in my career, but I owe it to the Dallas Cowboys to give them a chance to re-sign me once I hit the market.

I am starting to think you have a point. Usually mindless rumors with no credible backing was his gig, but the an influx of new users Nors' mindless thoughts have been buried and he is PO'ed

I'm not calling BULLS--T on you, calling it on the fact that they would do this without having something setup to replace him. Sorry for the confusion. It just p----s me off that over $1 million bonus we let Key go thinking we would release him when we sign TO. All that would do is make TOs position stronger knowing we have to sign him, and probably cost us more than that $1 million.
