Last 2 weeks the run defense has played well, but Washington's Robinson got hurt early on and the Giants OL is a mess. We won't face another top rushing team until the rematch against Philly. Let's see how they fare, before claiming they have actually improved.

The offense needs to help the run defense as well. The defense seems to run out of gas when the offense gets to pass happy. With Tank returning the run defense will only get better. Cincinnati , Carolina, Tampa, Philadelphia, and Washington will want to run the ball. So we will see.

The poor offensive production is on MM, when they run the ball well he decides to throw 3 times in the red zone

MM didn’t trust the offensive line to protect Dak earlier in the season and now he does not trust the running backs. He is coaching for his career and he is just going to double now on what he knows.

Think the lack of offense is going to be the reason this season failed.

1. The defensive line is terrible. Of course they aren't good at stopping the run.

2. Lack of offense is why the season failed? You mean before Dak got hurt? Surely you aren't expecting Cooper Rush to light up the scoreboard, especially with several other starters missing.

It amazes me how some fans expect the team to be good just because of the uniform, like it doesn't matter who is wearing those uniforms.

hmmm, how? we gave up 116 to the lowly giants and 145 to commanders? how is that better?

we won two games and it masks all the warts, but Giants is a 2-10 team that just let their starting QB go and is rotating QBs to end the season.
washington win was aided by special teams play and two missed PATs by commanders and they are in the midst of 3 game losing streak....

we are the worst run defense in the league. depending on the games this sunday, we can be as bad as 28th in the league.....the only saving grace of this run defense is the first game against the giants when we gave up 26 yards. we have given up 100+ yards for 7 straight games....

Those numbers have the QB's rushing yards as well. If I remember, they held the Giants to 3 yards a carry and did the same against Washington, that's a big improvement.

rushing is rushing..... stop the QB rushing then. they gave up 5.5 ypc against giants. and 5.8 ypc against commanders....
you can't exclude yards because its convenient to an argument. those yards count the same.
no one says, exclude Jacksons rushing yards from his total offensive output, because well he is the QB, those rushing yards don't count.

I think Zimmer has an outside chance to become the new HC, remember he was the one Jerry wanted, but the Vikings said no.
These final 5 games are so important. The Cincinnati game is going to be a hot ticket especially if they beat Pittsburgh and Diggs returns. Zimmer might be coaching for more than the future defensive coordinator. Good call.

It is very possible and if it happened, I bet he would bring in the Browns HC if fired to run the offense as he was his OC in Minnesota.

Yes they've been better up the middle regular runs between the tackles but they're allowing the edge stuff especially with the quarterback and sometimes that's just hard to know when a guy's about to take off and whose responsibility is but yeah didn't like drew lock getting those big gainers Jayden Daniels kind of expected but when you allow 57 yards on like three runs from drew lock you got problems they need to lock into covering the quarterback runs
