We all know how impressive they were in pass coverage yesterday, especially given the weapons Burrow has at WR, but it was equally impressive to see them holding down Joe Mixon to 3.0ypc (57 yds total). We may not be getting the TO's we did last year, but so far this defense is showing us that they could be evolving into something really special.

Gotta say, towards the end of the game when they were on the field for most of the half, I was expecting to see giant holes opening up for Mixon and that never materialized.

I was overall impressed and highly encouraged by their performance. I think everyone on earth knew that if the offense kept sputtering it was only a matter of time before Cincy was able to put together a strong drive. Only so long you can keep an explosive offense at bay in this era. We really need to win the TOP battles to stay competitive

Agree on TOP. Both games so far this year we've been on the wrong side of the TOP. Offense needs to be more efficient and keep this defense fresh. If they can do that, this defense is going to go nuts.

Don’t forget on 2 of those drives we had them stopped and dumb penalties extended their drives on 4th down. I think they scored 2 FG’s.

It was nice to see we kept the penalties down too. 5 flags for 45 isn't bad, even though the 2 you're talking about were just plain stupid.

This probably won the game for Dallas. Parsons dominance on the pass rush doesn't matter as much if Mixon is ripping off 5-7 yard runs.

DLAW takes a lot of heat but I know one play he made against Mixon that saved at least 20 yards, if not a house call.

Bengals OL is a mess so I would not take away too much holding Mixon to less than 100 yds.

I dont think so, Lael had a bad pass protection day against Parsons , but he was a good run blocker . Most OL prefers run blocking , even tampa’s inexperienced OL killed in run plays last week.

I guess Osa, Gallimore , Bohanna and Hill did a better job this week.

I felt like they tried to beat us in the run game, which is generally the way to get that done....but it didn't work.

They stopped it well enough.

Wow that OL is SO bad.

Bengals OL is a mess. La'e was not the only player having issues. They have a couple new players that are not in sync which impacts blocking for runs or passes.
