RustyBourneHorse's last mock draft of 2022

Tough not to like it based on the first two rounds alone.

I would agree, but I think Braxton Jones is an exception to that rule. He's a small school lineman, so he's one that would get overlooked in earlier rounds.
Opinion: if they go OL in 1st, they will ignore it thereafter, as they should.

Looks like somebody needs to get back to work at his full time job haha

As usual, this will be the large part and next post will be the condensed version.

24. Kenyon Green OG Texas A &M 6'4" and 323 lbs

Kenyon Green would replace Connor Williams. This is a player that the Cowboys seem to want, and I think he'd be a great choice.

56. Travis Jones DT Connecticut 6'4" and 326 lbs

1T DT who would help push the pocket and other 1T DT associated tasks with being a 1T DT. I think he'd be a great addition here.

88. Romeo Doubs WR Nevada 6'2 and 201 lbs

Doubs would replace Cooper. He's a nice WR.

129. Braxton Jones OT Southern Utah 6'5" and 306 lbs

Large OT who could be great depth behind Tyron when he misses games. Lots of potential here that the coaches would enjoy working on. "Perhaps most promising is Jones’ synergy between his upper and lower body. He has a great understanding of timing and positioning when levying punches, and he can time his extensions according to his base. Moreover, the Southern Utah OT can continually reset his base and gather rushers with his length and above-average core strength." 155. Terrel Bernard LB Baylor 6'0" and 220 lbs

May be a bit undersized, but his explosiveness jumps off the screen. Look how he attacks the QB. I think putting him on the opposite side of Parsons, and we get a nice

167. DeAngelo Malone DE Western Kentucky 6'3 and 243 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYYIYDFBWGs

Quick DE who can chase down pass rushers. Flexibility: A loose and fluid athlete, Malone displays the necessary flexibility to win both as a rusher when he is trying to bend the arc or when it comes to contorting his body and slipping through gaps in the run game. He displays very good ability to reduce his surface area and bend the corner while also possessing the necessary ankle flexion to turn tight corners (https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/deangelo-malone/NbBhYqftl3). He gets overlooked because he's a small school product, but I think he's an excellent prospect that Quinn will enjoy.

176. Lucas Krull TE Pittsburgh 6'6" and 260 lbs

Tall TE from Shawnee, KS who transferred to Pittsburgh by way of Florida. He's tall, great hands, and he's strong. Great security blanket to QBs.

178. Markquese Bell S Florida A&M 6'3" and 205 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbjqacDHeKE

Tall safety who is a hard hitter. His pass rushing skills on the blitz look incredible. I think we'd get a great S here.

193. Adram Smith RB Baylor 5'11 and 221 lbs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvEBQV2WxeU

This prospect is a speedy RB who would make a nice 3rd RB option. I think he's an underrated player. He showed great strength in the YT video posted in the redzone and on the run against OK State.

I would be ecstatic with this. I just don't see Jones being there in the 2nd though with how bad this DT class is. I see him as a top 40 guy in this class. I could see our draft falling very much in line with what you have but maybe having to go edge in round 2 and 1T in round 5 if Jones isn't there in the 2nd. I'd be much happier though if it fell the way you have it going.

I'd go Cam Thomas (San Diego State) if Jones isn't there.
