I used PFF for this scenario, which is my first involving trades in 2023. I made two trades. Firstly, I traded away Kelvin Joseph to the Cardinals for their 5th (167), 2024 7th round pick, and a 2025 6th round pick. I then traded back with the Bengals for a massive haul to their 1 (26), 4th (131), 5 (165), 6 (206), 7 (248), 2024 4th round pick, and a 2024 7th round pick. So, for the 2023 draft, our pick orders would be the 26, 58, 90, 129, 131, 163, 169, 170, 173, 206, 212, 246, and 248, along with 3 extra picks in the 2024 draft and one extra in 2025. With that, here's what I did

1 (26) Deonte Banks CB Maryland

2 (58) Dawand Jones T Ohio State

3 (90) Nathaniel Dell WR Houston

4 (129) Karl Brooks DE Bowling Green

4 (131) Dewayne McBride RB UAB

5 (163) Moro Ojomo DT Texas

5 (165) Viliami Fehoko DE San Jose State

5 (169) Jackorian Bennett CB Maryland

5 (170) Broderic Martin NT WKU

5 (176) Chandler Zavala G NC State

6 (206) Aidan O'Connell QB Purdue

6 (212) Trey Dean III CB Florida

7 (246) Hunter Luepke FB North Dakota State

7 (248) Truman Jones DE Harvard

I'm going to do my usual breakdown on the next post so that you can all be introduced to these players.

Rusty please give me your take on Jones city in a zone blocking system. He’s incredible and a freak but a 400 pound blocker moving in space repeatedly I have questions about. he is pure beast

Deonte Banks CB Maryland
6'2" 205 lbs (https://www.profootballnetwork.com/deonte-banks-cb-maryland-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023/)

Banks would make a nice CB to have opposite Diggs. He's tall, and he's got excellent skills at reading where the ball is going. Plus, he seems to be a lot smarter than Kelvin Joseph. So, trading KJ was addition by subtraction. And then I upgraded the CB spot with Banks.

Dawand Jones T Ohio State
6'8" 360 lbs) https://247sports.com/player/dawand-jones-46052090/

Tyron Smith's days are numbered, and I found a bonafide RT here in round 2. This would allow for either Steele to be moved to LT or LG and Tyler Smith taking the alternative spot, while giving us a monster at RT.

Nathaniel Dell WR Houston
5'10 155 lbs https://247sports.com/player/nathaniel-dell-46047995/

Excellent slot WR option who also has return skills. This is a player that can get open across the middle while Lamb and Gallup handle outside duties. This means our WR group would become deadly, and we'd have a return option besides Turpin

Karl Brooks DE Bowling Green
6'4" 303 lbs https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Karl-Brooks-DL-BowlingGreen

Massive DE who would be a nightmare to block.

Dewayne McBride RB UAB
5'11" 215 lbs https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/DeWayne-McBride-RB-UAB

Imo, very underrated back who's quick and has good hands.

Moro Ojomo DT Texas
6'3" 293 lbs https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Moro-Ojomo-DL-Texas

No YT found, but this is a guy who, along with Brooks, I think would give Dan Quinn a lot of fun to work with. Our Dline would instantly become much more dangerous with these two. Especially with this guy at 3T.

Viliami Fehoko DE San Jose State
6'4" 263 lbs https://247sports.com/player/viliami-fehoko-46042726/

I don't have any videos yet of this player. However, I think he'd be a nice quick DE for us. I think Micah Parsons will have a lot of fun with the Dline I'm drafting to help him.

Jackorian Bennett CB Maryland
5'11" 193 https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Jakorian-Bennett-DB-Maryland

https://youtu.be/Ey70twR2VnI

Slot CB option to compliment Diggs and his fellow Maryland teammate Banks. Our CB situation would be lethal.

Broderic Martin NT WKU

Solid NT. Can't go wrong here.

Chandler Zavala G NC State

Depth at guard

Aidan O'Connell QB Purdue
Replacement for Rush and could be a short term starter if needed.

Trey Dean III S/CB Florida

Safety or corner to give us DB depth

Hunter Luepke FB North Dakota State

Old school-type FB. McCarthy does use these.

Truman Jones DE Harvard
Potential depth at DE

I think he can handle the role. From what I've seen, he's a pure RT. I haven't seen his combine yet though, so that will determine, but I don't see why he couldn't. He's quick enough

The Cowboys already have #26...

If the Cowboys give up on Joseph, nobody is going to trade for him.

I meant 29, and hey, it's a fun scenario to try. Not saying it'd happen, but I thought I'd try it. Even if I took the picks out that I got for Joseph, I think it'd still be a great draft. I'll probably do another one without that player trade. Still would keep my first 5 picks the same though

Ok, as long as the 26 to 29 tradedown is based on chart value.

The thing is, if his combine shows that he can be a very good zone lineman, then I would probably slot him as our 1st round pick. I like his skills and measurables. We could use an elite RT.
