Jernigan - WR - Player Troy WR Jerrel Jernigan ran forty times of 4.32 and 4.38 at the Trojans' Friday Pro Day.
Jernigan improved on his 4.46 at the Combine, which most players will do on faster college tracks. He also jumped 38 inches vertically. A slot receiver with some Percy Harvin to him, Jernigan projects as a second-round pick. At 5'9/185, however, he's probably not going to help anyone on the outside.

I'd consider him at pick 40. Maybe trade back in the 2nd and get an extra 3rd. Then, take him. But he could fill in the slot like Wes Welker in our offense.

I just dont know how I feel about taking a WR before the 4th. We have too many needs and with RW, Austin and Dez already there its pointless to draft a 4th receiver before we get some other players first.

I really want this guy (or Cobb) in the slot. But yeah, without moving RW (and I don't believe that will happen) this team better spend their second and third round picks on other positions than WR.

I would be more interested in him in the third round or later. Too many holes to fill right now.

2nd round is to high to draft a slot receiver.

To high to draft a receiver period. Would be third string at best, but probably 4th string.

Pick up a guy in the 4th or 5th round who can do the same thing, and also give you some kick return ability (Kerley, Salas, Shorts, etc. etc.)
