For those who were interested in Flores.

I thought this was an interesting segment On his tenure in Miami.

Ryan Fitzpatrick had some tough words and a warning for team’s interested in his former HC Brian Flores.

Flores has been a “hot name” of late and had success in PIT and MIN as an assistant/coordinator, so people have forgotten how badly it ended in Miami.

Started off rough in the “Tank for Tua” season but half way through there was a shift and he was “likable, relatable, and demanded a lot but was able to get the best version of the players.”

Became “unrecognizable” as his tenure went on. Brought over more staff from New England. Says he will have a tough time finding a former coach under him in Miami to vouch for him as he ‘burned a lot of bridges, alienated himself from his staff, and didn’t have the humility to ask questions and collaborate.’

He became a “dictator”, ruined the relationships he built in the NFL, and his ego grew so big that there wasn’t any room for anyone else.

Would love for anyone interested to listen to the whole conversation that Whit and I had

I really like Brian Flores and consider him a friend….the end in Miami wasn’t pretty but I think he has grown and can look back on his tenure in Miami knowing he wasn’t perfect and has learned a lot

Oh he was Jimmy Johnson...dictator, ego, burn bridges with the owner/GM that did not know more about football than he did.

If anyone hires Flores as a HC they are idiots. Truth be told his defensive coaching skills are overrated also. Stacking the box and blitz mania gets cooked by solid QBs

I disagree. First thing Fitzpatrick said is he gets the best out of his players. Something any bad team can use.

He is an A-hole. Seems to be the common theme with the Belichek coaching tree.

It won't work here in Dallas where Jerry and Stephen need someone more docile.

He is an A-hole. That won't work with the Jones boys.
It’s wild because I never heard that about him.

I could certainly see it in Miami they screwed him over.

But I also think guys do learn from past experiences.

Bellicheat had to get fired from the Browns to become a Hall of Fame coach.

Guys can certainly learn from their own failures, however there also doesn't seem to be a lack of NFL coaching candidates either. I'd be shocked if anyone gave him another HC chance in the near future as he still has a long way to go in rebuilding his reputation.

Yeah but if his history as he learned from Bill Belichick Mr. stone face Mr. it's his way or the highway more of a bill Parcells type I mean there are a lot of coaches out there that say that things are unrelatable to many players who don't like hard nosed coaches. I think that's what we need around here behind closed doors with the owner is one thing but in the locker room on the practice field I'm pretty sure I'd rather have that guy than player friendly everybody gets along that doesn't really get on players for being late to meetings or missing game plans or playing poorly I want one of those dudes,,,

I'm one of those who think we should consider Flores as the head coach here he does really well with the defense we need a defensive minded coach for once in my opinion I don't know who they would get as the offensive coordinator but I think if they're smart they may need to go to the late Romo game plan allow Romo to just call his own plays that was the rumor pretty much had full control of the offense I mean you know not the game plans not every single play called but for the most part ran the offense let the head coach run the defense...

I'm just spit balling here... That is one reason I want Flores, Vrabel or Glenn I think the Defensive minded coaches are bit more sticklers for the rules. A bit more serious and not buddies with the QB/WR room.

I actually think Flores was a decent coach despite his stint in Miami ending poorly. He took over a horrendous team and got them to the playoffs. If he’s able to hire a strong OC candidate, learned to be hands off in that department and trust the people he’s hired then he could be successful in a second stint as HC. If Mike gets the axe (which I don’t think he will) then I’d prefer someone who can instill discipline in the team and Flores would fit that bill. Regardless, I don’t expect Jerry to ever hire a coach like Flores who could rock the boat.

considering he's already back to being a coordinator and doing very well, i don't think it's a long ways at all. won't be surprised to see him get a job

Retreads like Wade Philips and Norv Turner can get hired 3 times, but Brian Flores can’t get a second chance because he was too controlling? Gtfooh
