The back up looked fine. The running game isn't their strength. No big deal, really.

You can't tell me they can lose a player of Grant's quality and not be significantly impacted. The threat of a running game helps the passing game immeasurably -- without that threat (or a severely diminished threat), their passing game will suffer too.

Some fans here in wisconsin are saying its no big deal Brandon Jackson will be better because he is younger and hungier. And fans here dont think its a big deal beacuse they arent going to run the ball ever anyways. So i do suspect them to be media darlings still especially since they are playing the Bills sunday.

Of course they are.

But that's just because it's their first win in Philadelphia since like 1962, and that is something big for some reason.

Most of my Wisconsin friends say that Jackson sucks big time.

Packers lose their reliable, 1,000+ yd/10+ td running back for the season. No big deal, what this balance thing all about anyway?

I picked this guy up in the 6th round in my fantasy draft...thought I had gotten a steal. Oh well, to the waiver wire I go.

I Think this will increase Rodgers Interceptions because now he is gonna have to try and do even more now that what he was doing already. Some things are gonna have to be forced now and no one will be scared of there running game. One positive about Brandon Jackson being in there for them is that he knows how to run behind a zone blocking scheme which the packers are running now. But Jackson is no where near as good as Grant. And now the back up running back is John Kuhn a FB and they just signed someone off the Falcons Practice squad.

Yes, I'm telling you it's not going to impact them much at all. Except in the extremes, the threat of a rush attempt is all that is necessary, the threat of a successful rush attempt has little impact over the threat of moderate rush attempt.

If they lose .5 YPC, all else being equal, it will have little impact on the team.

Because I've done the statistical studies to back it up.

I hope so. I would love to see Rodgers have an off year.

I don't know man....they're going from a very dangerous runner/screen receiver to a very average runner. It has to have more impact than you think.

I don't see it having a big impact. The Packers don't run until they get a lead in the 4th quarter. McCarthy will just throw more short passes. Grant was ok but I would take any running back the Cowboys have over him. Jackson is not that inferior of a player. In fact as far as pass protection and catching the ball, Jackson is much better than Grant.

The Eagle game was hard on both teams. I wonder how much that field plays into it.

Jackson will do fine. Now if he gets hurt, there is nobody behind him. I would think Ted Thompson may try to swing a deal for one of Buffalos backs after this week. Marshawn Lynch is not that great but would be better than whoever is backing up Jackson.
