They say Bledsoe is a sack/fumble machine but here are interesting stats for you from the 2004 season.

Bledsoe - 38 sacks/9 fumbles
McNabb - 31 sacks/8 fumbles (reg season only)
Brady - 26 sacks/7 fumbles (reg season only)

Seems like a lot but 14 of Bledsoe's sacks came in 2 early season games when they had Travis (I can't score a td) Henry playing. With Henry in the game, the D knew they could just tee off on Drew and his "New Orleans levee" o-line.

Last year Bledsoe was sacked once every 13.2 times he dropped back. Brady was sacked once ever 19.2 times he dropped back. That's a 45% difference. In 2003 Bledsoe was sacked once every 10.6 times he dropped back. Bledsoe had bad pass protection in Buffalo, and the QBs still there are still struggling. I personally don't care about Drew in Buffalo, he's in Dallas now and looks nothing like the guy who was playing there. Here he's been sacked once in 16.1 attempts, a 22% improvement from last year. And the guys in Buffalo are still being sacked once every 11.3 tries.

Great point! To bad Sour Grapes Donahoe can't figure that out; it will cost him his job in the near future.

Good analysis JD...

The problem is that Bledsoe is averaging 1 fumble per game right now. The Cowboys have been fortunate to recover half of them.

No, he's really not. 2 of them were botched center exchanges. I believe one was a mishandled handoff. Those are fumbles that go on the QB, but aren't remotely the same as a guy being hit with a sack and coughing up the ball.

And Parcells has clearly stated that those fumbled exchanges were a Bledsoe problem... they weren't there last year.

Big game for Bills Miki today. Holcomb a major step up over JP Losman. He's going to implode tho.

Bledsoe on Pace for 4300 yards 30+ td's. We are in first place, destroyed Eagles. Bledsoe doing just fine. Just fine and all the NY and Bills fans are crickets lately. Three interceptions and the sacks are far less a problem than the Billboys hailed.

Frost heaves up there yet? We are approaching first freeze here.
Football weather!
