Saddest part:
http://ricflair.com/shop/catalog/index.php?cPath=34

5 Minute call from Flair- $495.
5 Minute video chat with Flair- $750.

What a shame, and http://ricflair.com/shop/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=90 $4550 for a replica World Title belt, and you still have to pay $50 for shipping! Flair has also pissed off TNA officials after refusing to go out infront of 6,000 people in NYC on July 2nd, citing "I don't take orders from D'Lo freakin Brown'. So he is not being booked on TNA currently. He just paid $35,000 and over 300 signed autographs for Highspots.com who he robbed for over 60k.

whats sad about this? he is making bank off of his celebrity? he is old as hell and doesnt need to wrestle. i used to live right down the street from him, his house is huge and he been old as hell for a minute.

He is far from poor.

I don't get what the sad state is. Perhaps he spends too much and wants to maintain a lifestyle.

The only thing I think is sad, is selling used lottery tickets that originally cost 30 bucks for 30 bucks with an autograph.

Maybe it would shock you he had to borrow the $35k from an "unknown" source to payback highspots, speculation obviously points to HHH or HBK. It is a very sad state, he made tens of millions and two years ago was robbing indy promotions, Ring of Honor & fans for their money.

Ric Flair held in contempt over loans

Professional wrestler Ric Flair was held in contempt of court this week for failing to comply with the terms of an earlier financial settlement, according to a court order.

Flair didn't repay a loan of $35,000 to Highspots Inc., a wrestling merchandise company, according to the order for contempt.

He's required to repay the loan and autograph 300 photos for Highspots. If he doesn't comply within a month, Flair could be sent to jail for up to 90 days.

As an alternative to repayment, Flair could give the company a National Wrestling Alliance title belt he used as collateral for the loan.

A Superior Court judge found Flair has "the assets and income to comply with the order." If he doesn't pay by June 27, Flair will be subject to imprisonment.

Reached by the Observer on Friday night, Flair declined comment. But his agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, said the issue was simply a business dispute.

"He fully intends to comply," she said.

I don't know a thing about him ripping people off..I will take all this with a grain of salt...but I do know how much he is respected by his peers and wrestling fans. To me he's never been a great wrestler per se but he's one of the best performers ever in the business. I bet there are any number of wrestlers that would help him out if need be.

I'm not sure exactly what he may or may not have done, don't care cause I don't personally know him and he's never done anything to me or my friends and family, but you're spot on with the respect here.

The guy could easily get help from basically any wrestler whose known him any length of time. I'd bet if he's in any finacial trouble that HBK and HHH would be the first two he'd go to, as they're reportedly his closest friends. Knowing R2A, and the mark he also is for HBK, I'm sure he's already mentioned them.

Ric Flair is leveraged to the tilt. He's been a sad case for about the past 10 years. Highspots was pretty stupid for giving him a loan of that much money. Thankfully, they did the smart thing and documented it.

He has never been a great wrestler...but has always been a great performer. If he is put in the right story he will do fine. I have not liked anything he's done with Hogan. I can't be fair though...I do not like Hogan at all. I'd rather see Flair any day of the week than that bozo.

Flair was a great wrestler. He was much more straight up technical wrestling when he was younger and then crazy enough...perhaps to disprove his critics...became more into the big dramatic bumps after the plane accident. My only issue with Flair, even in his prime, as a wrestler was that his finishes were usually weak.

He also had obvious templates to his matches. He wrestled guys like Luger the same type of way and then guys like Magnum TA (when Ric was the heel) the same. But, I usually found that he was able to make those same templates fun enough to watch.

He probably could've gotten rid of the flip over the turnbuckle bump a long time ago.

Like I said to me he was never a great wrestler..great mic guy...would put guys over...and one of the best heels ever. To me he's a cornerstone of the business. I know how much he's respected. I remember a match he had with Kerry @ Texas Stadium... Appropriate that he got the huge sendoff he got on RAW..he deserved it.
