Saints released K John Carney.

The 46-year-old was signed to be a more reliable option on short field goals. After he missed a 29-yard chippie at Arizona, the Saints decided he wasn't worth the roster spot. They'll turn back to Garrett Hartley on field goals.

He is a REAL Field Goal kicker. I would take him with the game on the line over Buehler.

Really, age doesnt matter here. Its a no brainer.

I don't see how you could sign him after he just missed a 29 yarder last Sunday.

our kicker is making 50 yard field goals and missing some average ones. If he can kick a 50 he can kick a shorter one give him some time it not like were playing for anything right now, but a wild card spot. Nick Folk is kicking gold again and we released him.... so lets keep our kicker and develop him into something great.
