I thought Trance was a young Phenomenon with potential.

If Darnold was so good to beat out Lance, why didn't SF value him enough to keep him.

Darnold made more than Trance last year. He actually even made more than Purdy.

It was the potential of paying the 5th year option this year. So they got what they could to avoid doing that.

That is pretty much a wash. Darnold was a legit back up QB who could play if Purdy was hurt.

Darnold has sucked so far his time in the NFL. IMO though.
Yes Lance is a project at this point.
But I am looking forward to PS games then go from there.
I still would like to see them draft another QB though.
