Okay a mock with a twist.

Believe Houston is going to start the draft uproar. At #2, Houston selects Will Anderson LB/Edge Alabama, and this sets in motion a flurry of activity. Houston will use the #33 pick to move up from from 12 to 5 with Seattle although will cost a little bit more than just #33 and take Anthony Richardson QB Florida. Trades and movement will continue.

At #26 when Dallas is on the clock, Seattle calls and wants #26 to draft Tanner McKee QB Stanford, crazy maybe but Seattle is pretty high on him. There first offer is #33 and #123 and Jerry nixes it because he wants that 5 year option. Finally, Seattle overpays with an offer of #33 and #37 and Jerry takes it.

#33 Darnell Washington TE Georgia - is he the best TE in the draft, not yet, but his ceiling is much higher and his blocking skills fit what McCarthy wants NOW. He also can catch and run very, very well. I see Washington being there in the early 2nd easily.

#37 Steve Avila OG/OC TCU - many see CB or DE in the 2nd but really thing this is going to an offensive draft the 1st three rounds. Avila should win the LG position and if anything happens to BIadasz he easily takes over the center positon. Avila has a nice nasty streak and an excellent run blocker and very good pass blocker.

#58 Jahmyr Gibbs RB Alabama - he isn't going 1st round, just isn't and the way things are I see him available late 2nd. I like him better than Robinson but that's just me. He can play slot WR, RB, and even out wide. He is a willing blocker and he always is in on every play whether he is the primary or not. Great speed, great hands, great route and cutting ability.

#90 Tyrique Stevenson CB Miami - he checks the boxes Quinn likes in a CB, speed, size, toughness, strength, nice addition to the CB area

Trade. Dallas trade Jourdan Lewis CB to 49ers for #102

#102. Andre Carter Edge Army - lots of upside, Army might be a problem or he would go sooner, Jerry willing to take the chance

#129 Jonathan Mingo WR Ole Miss -great size, great routes, big kid, strong kid, excellent hands, speed just average but gets open a lot with his route running

#212 Jaquelin Roy DT LSU - will challange Gallimore for playing time, good size, faster, strong and is a 3 down player

#244 Clayton Tune QB Houston - just a McCarthy type pick

UDFAs:
B. J. Thompson DE Stephen F. Austin
Durell Johnson LB Liberty
Matt Lander WR Arkansas
Deuce Vaughan RB Kansas State
Jake Moody K Michigan
Michael Turk P Oklahoma
Xavier Gipson WR Stephen F. Austin
Caleb Murphy DE Ferris State
Kenny McIntosh RB Georgia
Marte Mapu S Sacramento State
Antonio Mafi OG UCLA
Viliami Fehoko DE San Jose State
Maxx Duggan QB TCU
Lance Boykin CB Coastal Carolina
Jerrod Clark NT Coastal Carolina

Sorry but these mock drafts are just boring. What’s the purpose? It’s a crap shoot and no one knows what’s going to happen. I don’t read any of them and I don’t think most people do either.

So why respond to the thread? Why looking in the draft zone which are full of them?

I like them, it gives me, as well as others, players to look at come draft day. So if you read up a little on them. You can have an idea if the player can be good or not.
If you know nothing about a player, then you can't complain when selected IMO.

I now know of several other TE's, RB's, OL, in the draft I otherwise may know nothing about. It doesn't mean I want them drafted or not, but it means I am more informed to give a better educated opinion.
Which is why we are here for.

Most of it is wild speculation. But the Houston prediction at the very top caught my attention. That would be a smart move. If they could pull it off. Once you get past the 4th or 5th pick, things are just too unpredictable.

You can research players without doing a mock draft. I don’t think many people pay attention to any CZ mock drafts.

Why would you take Washington?

Highly doubt Gibbs lasts that long. But I would be all for that trade back.

Same with Washington at 33, Carter at 102, Mingo at 129 etc
Why would anyone want Washington? Slow and not a good receiver. Just put another guard out at TE if you want someone to block.

you’re wrong. plenty of people do, and it’s a fun exercise for some of us. I also appreciate the effort / thought of a write up. So continue not reading but do is a favor and don’t reply either
