Looks good enhanced

Duane Thomas rb
Craig Morton qb
Dallas finally wins NFC and goes to SB, Close game.
Havent seen this in years so going to watch this restored version.

"Blunder Bowl" revisted over half a century later -with modern technology enhancing the numerous errors and miscues by both teams in that championship game.
However...I will re-watch.

Super Bowl V was the first championship played after the NFL-AFL Merger was agreed upon and arranged four years earlier___ June 1966.

The 1970 season was the debut of the National Football Conference and the American Football Conference - competing for the NFL Title.

The Cowboys won THE FIRST NFC Championship game and Title (and the Colts did likewise in the AFC).

at half time they say that the winners get 15,000 per man lol
the losers get 7,500 !
This was a lot of $ to these guys back then.
paid for 2 playoff games and the SB if they get to SB it was incentive to win lol, cause they needed the cash!

Brings back a lot of memories.

Leroy Jordan was a great MLB. One of the best IMO. Craig Morton was a pretty mediocre QB. Bob Lilly was unstoppable.

The first Cowboys game I ever saw. I was hooked that day. Cried when they lost. That is why the next year it was so great to me to see the boys just work Miami like a rented mule.

The refs were part of that "Blunder Bowl". Dallas should have won this game.

Joe Namath’s Super Bowl predictions were spot on until Super Bowl X. He not only picked the Cowboys to beat Pittsburgh but win going away. He whiffed on that one.

The end of the game was tough to watch. Two crushing interceptions in the last 5 minutes of the game gave the Colts 10 points.

I just finished it today, and the last int was on landry. It was tied game 1:26 left , dallas had a 2nd and 35 ! at their own 27.
he should have called 2 run plays and punted, and try to win in OT.
That int just gave balt a easy FG , they didnt have to even move the ball.

Against the dallas Def, I dont think they could have gotten in fg range had dallas punted.
Of course in OT , either team could have won.

Also Staubach was on the sideline ready to play! lol
No one knew at that point what he would be, but morton was 3 of 10 in 1st qrt, maybe that was a good time to insert Roger?

Both teams had great defenses and just ok offenses made worse by the great defenses, which led to a lot of fumbles, ints
and what looked like inept offenses.

Dallas should have ran more too, that was their best aspect, not passing. Also morton was playing with a bad elbow.

That was probably the worst halftime show I’ve ever seen. At least until we get to Up with People.
