Scary Plane Landings in Spain

Look up extreme landing trials in the Mojave Desert or something like that on Youtube. The video was posted here a few years ago.

Most important rules of being a pilot:
  • Your number of takeoffs need to equal your number of landings
  • It's better to be down here wishing you were up there than to be up there wishing you were down here

It is just like that landing here in Anchorage during the summer months. We get some GIANT cross winds at the airport here and I have literally come in numerous times sideways while traveling home from the state capitol.

Spoooooky and I hate it. I literally dread touching down because I know its going to be a fight to land.

Most good pilots just put the *** in the ground far to hard on successful landings. Once I was on a flight and could have sworn we crashed the tail it was so hard. EVERYONE was PO'd. People were saying some nasty things to the pilot going passed the cockpit door. So much so that the crew finally closed the door so the captain could calm down.

I was just happy to be in 1 piece and not 11.
