Hey everyone, another Chiefs fan here, and would like to compliment you on your site. It's refreshing to hear intelligent talk from the opposition.

I noticed the Fujita doesn't have the stats like he did when he was with KC. Is he having trouble fitting in to the Cowboys "D"?

He was decent with the CHIEFS I thought you guys would really get some productivity out of him.

Just wanted to get your opinion on Fujita. I hate to say we don't miss him but with the selection of DJ (Derrick Johnson) he had to go.

GO CHIEFS! (Had to do that just one time)

i like fujita........... i'm quite sure i'm going to like him alot better come sunday 3:15 p.m. when he puts it on those chiefs ***.

I had very high expectations for him when he arrived. After all, I think I am the only Cowboys fan who watched him play in K.C. pretty extensively. (I had Green and Gonzalez on my Fantasy team last year.: )

Unfortunately he hasn't lived up to my expectations yet and has actually been involved in some major mistakes that have ocurred on defense. But I haven't given up on him yet and he seems to have tightened up and made some plays the last couple of games.

I think he will become a nice addition yet but he needs time, like the rest of our D, to adjust to some changes.

I was very surprised when you guys cut him....I was very glad we got him....hes a good player. But i have to admit, he hasnt really shown me what i expected from him. However, i think He will come around, hopefully he shows up this sunday!

yeah i agree also with wesley and qwick...i saw him in the giants game, i thought he made a couple mistakes that led to some runs for tiki, hasnt lived up to my expectations yet tho...because he was the leading tackler for the chiefs i thought hed do better....

You have to remember that a leading tackler on our "D" last year is like a Div I tackling stud.

LOL

Tonight my beautiful gf made me fajuitas and they are great. Now as of Fujita, he is literally the weakest part of this stellar defense. Now because Burnett (the 49er lover) has been a limp biscuit, Scott is all we have. So there you have it, he sucks basically. But be prepaired for your offense to be shut-down and to sack Bledsoe 100 times.

I am learning that the sam lb in the 3-4 works even more differently in this scheme than the 4-3. His range has to be tremendous, as he is all that stands between the tackle and the open flat for a RB.

He is serviceable, though, and I say this honestly, I thought Singleton was slightly better in the position.

That being said - I think the strong side lber is something we address in the offseason. It is a very weak point.

Singleton was a lot better than Fajita has been and Singleton was just a solid player. Consistency has been his problem, he has been giving up way to many big run plays. It was his side once again last week that Tiki broke his biggest run on a cutback where Fajita didn't contain. A lot of the problem could be his lack of knowledge of the defense.

:welcome: to the forum JCC.

I loved it when we got him. I'm in Pac 10 country and I saw a bit of him at Cal.

He's struggled a bit this year, but he did not have the benefit of the mini camps or Training Camp.

I think next year he's makes his mark on this team. Good solid character guy and this system will fit for him once he acclimates himself more.

He's got big shoes to fill. Al Singleton was a veteran presence in the locker room and huddle. A smart player who did his job. Hard act to follow.

He's solid, not spectactular. Which is a perfect fit because he's filling in for Al Singleton.

Think Fujita was a good pickup for us. He was doing pretty good while Singleton was still alternating with him but his performance has gone down since Singleton was injuried. I think that's because he wasn't here to participate in the minis and training camp learning the system from the ground up. Parcells said that for linebackers this is a tough system to learn and then perform in it. Once he gets the time and opportunity to really study it and work day to day learning it he was be just fine next year. He has a good attitude, is smart and hard working; that's what we need. We can't all be able to perform immediately.

He is a very good player and will get better as he becomes comfortable with what Zimmer is trying to do.....
