Haha im not seeing that at all.I don't see it with him. Mega straight linish.
He looks awesome when his assigned gap is wide open, but close it and he's not going to find another opportunity. He either doesn't see it, or gears down and gets caught at the line. Very Trent Richardson esque.
I think he's an RB3 type. I'd honestly be higher on him as a gunner or KR than a ball carrier.
Just pulling up one video and watching it, there's a stretch of plays here that kinda illustrate what I'm talking about.Haha im not seeing that at all.
Straight line? Where..?
Dude is jump cutting all over the place.

0:33. Tucker's assigned gap gets filled by a defender stoning his FB in the hole, but the RG and RT clean up and there's a wide open gap to his right. Tucker presses his initial gap, sees it's closed, find, but trips when he tries to cut it back and takes a loss.
0:40: The OL blocks the inside run well, and Tucker's first read is wide open. He accelerates through it and looks like a speed-to-power beast heading downfield.
0:57: another lead-blocker power play. Tucker tries to bounce it and gets cut down at the line of scrimmage.
To clarify my first post, Tucker has a straight line skillset. It's not like he only charges ahead into his linemen's backs, he'll try to bounce and cut back. But he doesn't have the short-area athleticism to cash those checks. He's a classic head of steam guy.
I think the evaluation on Tucker is pretty straightforward. He's a really bad receiver and blocker, so he's a pure two-down rusher only. On those two downs, he offers a very good size and speed combo, but doesn't profile as a guy who will get more yards than what's blocked. That's a backup, day 3 type of grade.Missed the combine and pro-day due to an undisclosed medical condition.
The media rankings for RBs this year are all over the map.
How am I just not hearing about this guy?
What round is he projected to go in? He looks like a starting NFL RB to me.

Can be said about any prospect, but most of us don't put the time in to watch full games.Watch full games instead of highlight videos and you will get a better evaluation of him.

I agree. Backup material. Not a pure runner. Too robotic.I think the evaluation on Tucker is pretty straightforward. He's a really bad receiver and blocker, so he's a pure two-down rusher only.
