UCF senior WR Jamar Newsome never lost hope when he was buried on the Knights' depth chart.
Newsome, who had a career-high 123 yards on five catches at Houston Friday, said hard work helped him transform from a track athlete with great raw speed to a strong receiver.
Now Newsome is regularly breaking tackles as a receiver and kickoff return specialist.
"I think it's a mindset with me," he said. "I always feel like one person can't bring me down."
