It's clear that McCarthy doesn't have the offensive mind needed for the NFL any more. There is no innovation or creation on offense at all. No plays schemed to get receivers open. Running plays look the same now as they did in preseason.
Wholesale changes need to be made to the entire coaching staff. Especially on offense where the production is historically low this season and don't provide much hope for the future.
That was odd though and you're right when he has his number one guys it's like his status quo but I think whenever desperation sinks in all of a sudden Mike McCarthy is gonna become Andy Reid he's gonna make it look like the whole time it was certain players issues but they're going to play desperate and wide open and they should mix him Trey Lance use him a little like taysom hill I know they're different players but I agree with the OP and I also agree with you but I think in this case I believe Mike McCarthy might end up doing something he should have been doing the whole time..
The main thing I see that he should have been doing this entire time was as soon as guyton went down and they seen how well Tyler Smith solidified the left side even with bass in it left guard they should have immediately went to that lineup and when guyton came back have him go to the right tackle replace steel and get this under control and use Rico battle 20 * a game I don't know what he was waiting on basically that's what they did with Andy Reid use Hunt's not lighting up the world but they're giving him the ball 20 * a game no matter what last night he had 27 for 100 and something yards it was only 3.8 yards per carry nothing special but that's what good offensive minds do they realize how important the run game is even when it's not elite you just keep running these mistakes been happening all over deuce Vaughn Turpin guys who can actually probably lend a couple black plays the game are not being utilized properly...
And sadly that's what it's looked like the last two years if our high-priced superstars can't do it on their own we're looking at Jason Garrett 2.0 you're relying just on the talent never on this game nothing ever changes but I believe with all these changes like Prescott out I think he might open the office up which is crazy why he wouldn't have done it in the first place...
I believe Tyler-Bass-Coop-Hoffman-Guyton would be better long term and use Martin and Steele as swing guys.. Make sure Rico get it 20 times every game no matter what.. why MM is afraid of shaking things up when his lame duck job is on the line is beyond me.. should have happened at the BYE that would be REAL change.
