One of my all time favorite players and always will be. Anyone who can joke around like he does is okay by me. I respect him immensely for paying all costs of George Mikan's funeral. I respected that when a deaf vender was fired by the Lakers Shaq hired the kid himself to sell the same stuff as before and gave him a raise. When the Lakers tried to hire the kid back Shaq refused and said, "He works for me."

The NBA is a little bit more dull now that Shaq ** is hanging them up.

About three years overdue, but his personality will be missed.

I'm gonna miss the big fella, but WG is right, couple of years late.

It's really sad to see, won't be long now and Duncan will follow suit, it's all making me feel old

The best thing about Shaq is when he told Kobe "Tell me how my *** tastes" after he left LA, then Kobe goes on to win more championships than Shaq.

Yo Shaq, how does Kobe's *** taste? :lmao2:

Same here. Shaq was always one of my favorite players for his joking attitude as well as his play on the court.

I honestly still think he can hold his own, he just can't get up and down the court anymore. If all he had to do was play 1/2-court ball, he'd still dominate :)

I'm just glad I got a chance to watch his career, from LSU all the way up through. Amazing size and talent, with a good personality to boot. Not a fan of his off-the-court issues, but he was great for the game and could take over a game in his prime.

Good. Its only about 3 or 4 years overdue.

I like Shaq. He was a great player. He was fun to watch. But the last few years have just been useless, IMO.

Shaq you were good but I'll still take my main man The Dream

I think he's in the top 5 all time. I'd say that Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Olajuwon and Shaq would make up that list. What order you but them in might be debatable but that's kinda how I see it.

I agree with your top 5

You forgot Shawn Bradley. ;)

Every time i see this, I crack up laughing. Especially the football bit at the end.

It's hard to believe how gigantic a man Shaq is. Lebron James is enormous, like 6'8, 275, and Shaq makes him look like a little kid in that video.

that is some funny ****

The man took more sustained physical abuse than anyone in the history of the game, due to the "Hack-a-Shaq" tactics. But they never got him down, man was just too big.

Going to miss the Big Aristotle (also the best self-made sports nickname).
