I'm referencing the BBC series. I had long heard about the series, but I tend to dislike most BBC television series, so I never took the time to watch it. There are 6 episodes and each is 1.5 hours, so it's a time commitment and time isn't something I have a lot of.

In any event, over the past two weeks I took the plunge and watched them all. And holy crap! What an amazing series. If you haven't seen it, the first season is on Netflix and the second season is on iTunes. This is must see stuff here.

Seen the previews ,but never bothered to try it ....Guess I better give it a try

That would be nice. But the quality is so good, I'd rather take the quality over the quantity.

Yeah, really good writing in that series. Nice development of the characters. Really like their Holmes and their Watson. I wish it had more shows per year, mostly because it seems they have to push various parts faster due to the limited time. Moriarity be introduced almost from the get go being one example.

Still, they probably are having a bit of trouble squeezing Cumberbatch in nowadays.

Yeah, it's pretty great. I'd say the same about an earlier 6-episode miniseries Steven Moffat wrote, "Jekyll", also available on Netflix.
