Sadly, I am not surprised, it is just a messed up world right now, I think that is the end of parades or people will pay to get in and use metal detectors, my prayers goes out to everyone

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said the total of victims of Wednesday's mass shooting outside Union Station has increased to 22.

That includes one person who died in the shooting.

The Kansas City Fire Department says eight victims had 'immediate life-threatening injuries,' seven had life-threatening injuries, and six had non-life threatening.

Victims were transported to three different hospitals: Children's Mercy Hospital, Truman Medical Center, and St. Luke's Hospital.

Children's Mercy Hospital says that they are treating 11 children at the hospital, including nine gunshot victims.

Graves also said three people are detained now.

Graves said officers immediately responded to the area and performed life-saving measures to aid victims.
