Stefon Diggs is cruising behind the wheel of his robin’s-egg-blue Lamborghini Urus in early May, a month after the star Bills receiver signed a contract extension that guarantees him $70 million over the next six seasons. Riding shotgun in the luxury SUV is Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, whose own big payday will surely follow soon thanks to a breakout 2021 campaign in which he bagged more interceptions (11) than any NFL player in 40 years. As is often the case whenever these brothers get together—and get on a roll—it’s best to sit back and let their rapport take center stage.

STEFON: Lemme tell you the truth. [Gestures toward Trevon.] He don’t think nobody that good. Even people that I think is good! That’s a true DB.

TREVON: Some people are cool. [But] I don’t think nobody is like, “Yo, he’s a problem. He’s amazing. I can’t do nothing with him.”

STEFON: I ain’t never heard bro on some scared, goofy s--- like that.

TREVON: If you go into a game already thinking, “All right, Stefon, he’s super nice, he can do this, he can do that—”

STEFON: That’s what coaches do, bro.

TREVON: Coaches really trying to scare people. We be at meetings and stuff. And they be like, “All right now, this piece right here, he fast, he can catch, stay on him.” I be like, ‘Pssh, he aight . . .”

STEFON: That’s why I always say, he went against a dog before he saw any other dog. I was a dog way before that.

What... you can't dig it? You need that woman from Airplane to translate their jive?

I just wish the NFL would help these kids out with public speaking classes. They get all this money ...... Suddenly microphone's are shoved in their face ..... And they sound like children.

If they want their players to act like professionals ...... Teach the ones who need it how to talk, act, and manage their money.

Don't just give children millions of dollars and act surprised when they act like children.

Nothing's to do with the Digg Brothers ..... The seems like we'll ajusted family oriented young men ..... They just cannot talk.

It’s a lot of where people come from and are living. I know you’re not digging Diggs, but he raised his brothers, stayed home to help raise them, got his degree and set an example for two younger brothers. I am not worried about how he speaks because he is a fine young man doing right.

I am more concerned about the guys that cause issues with the law as opposed to how they speak.

If I have followed Diggs as I am from the area and listened to a multitude of interviews. This likely is just him talking around his brother.

This is not an attack or a knock on your post. Just tossing in my two cents.

I am not digging Diggs? He is probably my second favorite player.

And I stated what good young men they both are ..... My post was just about NFL young players as a whole

As far as the speech aspect ...... The most successful great players away from the court and the field talk professionally. That's where you make your real money .... Micheal Jordan, Lebron James, Tony Romo, Tom Brady, those guys made money away from the game because they sound professional and like business men. The NFL could go along way in helping these young men become the next great business men.

Yes. But if you are already making millions then I suppose no one will really care. But what about after football? Some players go into broadcasting, analysis, and and other roles requiring good speaking skills. Unless you can articulate your thoughts in a way others can understand, you will not have a chance in a role like that.

All brothers and sisters should have an unbreakable bond.

One of my favorites is Charles Barkley….he’s built a pretty good career for someone not as articulate as others.
