Romo said that he threw the ball right when the receiver was making his break and he slipped, "it happens".

I didn't see it, but it DOES happen. WR's do slip on their breaks and the ball is INT'd.

the fact that some of us are so worked up about 1 INT is a good thing -- we've finally found a good QB.

Daryl, Mickey and Whats-his-name talked about the slip in the broadcast. I rewound it several times but the slip happened just off camera. However, you could see that Austin was not upright and was moving slow as he came into the frame. Bly did make a good break on the ball but had Austin not slipped he would not have had that clean of a shot at it.

That is the chance you take with timing patterns which is what that was. The QB throws to a specific spot at a specific time and the WR has to be there or bad things happen. This time the WR slipped and wasn't there and sure enough bad things happened. As Tony said...it happens.

Did you watch the game? It was obvious that Hurd slipped, which allowed Bly to break on the ball. Had Hurd not slipped, he would have easily had the position on the ball. Tony's made mistakes in the past, but this was not his fault. You can see the replay tomorrow on NFL Network.

PS: The broadcast I was watching at a Sports Bar was the Denver telecast, so it may have had better angles.

Sorry but my thread title wreaks of sarcasm. People are saying that Romo is awful after the dude had one INT. Romo will not be allowed to throw any INTs, ever.

It was Miles Austin that was the target on that play. He was the target on 6 passing plays (4 from Romo and 2 from Johnson) and didn't make a single catch.

I think I'd put that one on the receiver. It is evident that Austin doesn't have his timing down with the QBs. He'd better work on that this week if he wants to make the team.

I think they kept going back to him hopeing he would catch one ,but as we saw it did not happen. It was a training game for Austin for sure I just hope he learned something if he is going to play that postion and as you said make the team. Are they planning on him at that postion?

Oh well, if Austin doesn't turn out, what'd we lose? Oh yeah, nothing.
