Sinead O'Connor dies

I've not heard too much of her music except the one Prince wrote...

RIP

Sinead O'Connor has died at the age of 56. No cause has been given yet.

I am surprised this did not happen a lot sooner ........ poor girl has always been troubled.

RIP ........ you had a beautiful voice.

A great voice... That was unfortunately overshadowed by the side "stuff" that went on.

Perhaps the greatest version of "Silent Night" I ever heard.

RIP but frankly calling her legendary is a joke.

Not at all. Had a voice like no other. Seriously: like none other.

Her problems with mental health made her a tragic figure. Very sad to hear this.

Legendary is like Tony Bennet. Not Sinead O'Coonor

This song is utterly subdued and tender. Perfect to remember her at the passing.

Let me be clear: In her deranged rage she often did untold damage...for those in her immediate vicinity...as well as for the many fans who found in her words and actions a false basis of action. Her deranged and damaging mother sadly perpetuated through her. Lots of looniness. Casualties.

But purely from a musical standpoint...wow. Breathless. As a beauty: timeless. As for her smile: transcendent

We humans are all a mix of rationality and emotion.

Just my hunch but I would guess that Sinead was wired to live almost purely in her emotions. And highly amplified ones...a tumultuous sea.

I suppose such a state would spark great art, but make life and relationships almost impossible.
