RT @JReidPost: Commanders sources: G Mike Williams, expected to be a key member of the offensive line, out for year because of blood clots near heart.

Damn. Sucks. I hate the Skins, but I do like to see guys overcome some adversity and get their career back on track.

Stay healthy big guy.

I always enjoy it when something bad happens to the Skins, but not when it involves the health and well-being of one of their players...

DCF is right, get well, big guy...

I also hate hearing bad news like this, for any player, any team. Even them. Godspeed to you Mike Williams, and may He bring you back to full health.

Yep....better to find it now before it was too late. Best of luck to the guy and hope things work out for him.

If he would eat three cloves of natural non-irradiated garlic a day, either raw or crushed and cooked with food, he would not have blood clots - they would not be able to form. Garlic is the strongest natural anti-coagulant and anti-aggregatory in nature; far better than pharmaceuticals which all have serious side effects that garlic does not have.

Crushed raw garlic also kills staph, including MRSA, and staph cannot become immune to it like it has almost all of the pharmaceutical antibiotics and there is now a staph that even Vancomycin won't kill but garlic will if applied direct to the site of the infection.

The real tragedy is that the pharmaceutical industry with its multimillion dollar contributions to med schools won't let the med schools teach about natural medicines only their prescription pharmaceuticals that earn them billions without really curing the disease. Pharmaceuticals also create horrible side effects that garlic does not have.

As a side benefit, garlic improves many people's breath - after all, garlic breath is better than no breath.

Don't take my word for it, Google staph+garlic.

It breaks my heart to see 30,000 people dying every year from staph that they got in a hospital after going there to treat an unrelated condition and many times that many more suffering so much when it is completely avoidable simply by knowing how to use garlic but most simply will not listen because it is "backward and unsophisticated." Whatever.

We all go through life suffering from our own self-imposed limitations.

Actually the opposite is true. Many clotting factors depend on Vitamin K for their formation. Warfarin works by blocking this and is frequently used for preventing and dissolving clots.

The description of his condition is very odd with blood clots around his heart. I wonder if he has had a pulmonary embolism? Perhaps he has a major heart valve problem?

I hate that for BMW. He was actually making a decent comeback attempt.

I don't see how he was ever going to be a good fit for Shannahan's zone blocking scheme though.

Heart ailments are nothing to mess around with. They will kill you early if you don't take care of them.

just saw this on the ticker. while i'm not happy to hear about someone's poor health, i am glad anytime our opponents get weaker. that being said, why can't this happen to a team that is actually a threat?

:laugh2:

It's the opposite, Joe. Vit K is a pro-coagulant. You give it to somebody who, say, has taken too much coumadin and their blood becomes too "thin".

Interesting they say he was supposed to be a key member. All the local media reports I've heard said he wasn't a match and likely wasn't to make the team.
