Anyone here have it, and how has using a cpap machine helped you?
I don't, but it's serious stuff. A good friend of mine died in his sleep because of it, he was about 40. He didn't take it seriously and wouldn't wrar his machine. Reggie White died from it too. My brother in law has it and sleeps soundly with the machine, my mother in law also has it and has issues, probably because she tosses and turns too much. Hope you're asking for a friend and not yourself, either way, take it serious brother. Good luck

I've used one for over a year now and it has completely changed my life. I use an anti snoring strap to keep my mouth closed. Just be sure to use distilled water and if you have a nostril style, replace the pillows every 2 weeks. I even had my chiropractor readjust my nostril cavity. He inserted a balloon up my nostrils and inflated it. He also struck some points beneath my collar bones which depressed the tension in my sinus cavity. When cleaned and used properly, it'll be the best sleep you've ever had.

I have it.
I tried one of the cpap machines but for some reason it was messing with my ears...like how the are clogged and then open when traveling in a car through different elevations.
Could not stand it.

Couple of friends use it and they say it is the best thing ever.

For now I sleep in a recliner and it helps some.

However there apparently is another option but I put off the appointment until next spring or summer. The trip to the VA Hospital takes a couple of hours and some of the roads you do not want to be on if there is even a hint of snow or ice.

Obesity is a huge risk factor for sleep apnea. If you’re obese, losing weight can help. There are GLP-1 medications that are extremely effective.

The CPAP didn't work for me so my dentist supplied me with a mouth guard that pushes my jaw forward while I sleep and it's made a big difference in my sleep quality.

Changed my life. Was not able to get anything resembling real rest prior to using one (never hit REM sleep - verified by a sleep study) - didn't matter if I slept 3 hours or 12, I felt the same - like crap. I also used to get migraines that I would wake up with multiple times per month. After getting a CPAP, I was able to feel rested and had fewer aches and pains. The migraines also were reduced significantly. Have been using one for 16+ years, and it has been a godsend for me.

You don’t put it on while u r awake, u wait until u r sleeping? Talented…
Not what I was talking about, but now that you mention it, you must be pretty talented if you can put it on when you're asleep....
