I have read about this island. It was one the deadliest places on earth and you need special permission to visit by the Brazilian govt. A doctor needs to be with you if you are permitted due to the snakes.

These particular snakes venom has been used since the '70s in the production of one of the more commonly prescribed blood pressure meds and it's generic brands...
