Snap counts from Sat night’s game. Some things that stood out:
- Cowboys had 73 snaps to egirls 71.
- Tyron Smith in only his second game back, played all 73 offensive snaps.
- Trayvon Diggs played all 71 defensive snaps.
- Tony Pollard had 39 snaps to Zeke’s 34.
- Deron Bland had 67 snaps; Nashon Wright had 38 defensive snaps; Kelvin Joseph had 0.
- Calvin Watkins only had 29 snaps but caused a critical fumble.
What else jumped out?
Tyron Smith: rehabbed well, and worked hard in a short time to get back to what the Cowboys can expect at this stage in his career.
Bottom line = he is all in on helping this team go deep in the playoffs
I expect nothing less from Diggs being on the field all the time; just want him to be savvy... know when he can make a big play versus getting fooled by the playoff offenses setting him up to fail
Don't know who determines when 20 or 21 are on the field --yardage needed for a 1st, defensive weakness recognized, formations, etc;.
OC (HC) need to be sharp to keeping opposing defenses off guard \ back on their heels \ confused
