Here are the snap counts vs nyg from last Thursday.
Some things that stand out:
  • Mazi Smith only played 38% of the snaps with 26, but he played his best game as a pro so far.
  • Hunter Luepke had the most snaps at RB with 29 and Rico Dowdle with 26. That seems to be who will get most of the snaps moving forward.
  • Zeke only played 10 snaps. It‘s clear he doesn‘t have anything.
  • Overshown had 59 snaps so it’s obvious Zim sees him as having a bigger role.
What else?

There was some overlap with Luepke at TE/H-back with Rico and Zeke but definitely noticed him out there the most from all the backs.
Only thing I noticed is his blocking could be better.

Luepke could end up being a hybrid weapon that is hard to identify for defenses. He could be a RB in some situations, a TE/HB that can either catch passes or block.

He will never be a full time RB for large number of carries but this team is in some desperate need for some creative weaponry so perhaps HL will continue to get more usage.

Must say I’m surprised at the lack of Elliott touches.

J Thomas needs to be taking some of those D Wilson snaps if he's going keep tackling like he did.
