What are the top 3 positions we need to address? obviously there is more than 3 but if you had to pick just 3 what would you pick?

Mine

1. Free Safety - Hamlin IMO has done absolutely nothing that Alan Ball can't do.
2. Kicker - I seriously hate knowing that the chance of making a 40+ yard field goal is about the same of making winning the lottery. Though I think Nick Folk comes back healthy next year, or maybe Buehler might step up
3. OL - Really just left tackle IMO, I think our line is pretty solid(even though we got wrecked today), I like Flo but he's starting to get older, we need someone who won't ruin a drive or big run on a false start or some dumb penalty.

You do realize the OL went to shambles when Flozell went OUT right? Flozell is the least of our worries. We should looking to replacements for Kosier and Colombo IMO.

All you Colombo lovers make me sick. He pushed around a CB once 3 years ago and he gets a pass on everything else. He was terrible today. He was bad all year. Yet he still gets a pass.

OTOH, Flo was okay today. Free came in and played very well at LT and is only 25 years old. So we have a 25 year old kid playing LT off the bench against Jarred Allen in passing downs all game and stones him down after down as the rest of the OL is falling apart.

So what does the OP conclude - Colombo is okay. But we need a new LT because Flo is getting old.

:bang2:

I really wish I knew what it took to get on this board's good graces because some guys are given pass after pass for mediocre play (Colombo, Barber, RW) while other guys are roasted even though they play very well (Free, TNew, Hamlin when he plays well, Romo).

Yes, somebody who was paying attention. With Colombo, it wasn't just this game - he gave up alot of pressures all-year long. With Kosier, he is our best OL in space but lately looks completely overmatched against all the power DTs. The amount of doubles he requires for interior blocking isn't acceptable right now. It's really too bad because he is such an effective OL in space. It is too bad he can't play Center where that deficiency isn't so glaring.

I don't know if you guys saw the thing on NFL network (maybe) saying that Flo can't hear and that is part of the problem with him having false starts and getting beat sometimes.

Certainly the Cowboys had a rough game today, but it was more than just the loss of Adams, and the Vikings do have probably the best DL in the league.

But I agree with the OP as far as positions needed.

Flo saying he can't hear does not excuse him when he gets penalties for tripping because he can't keep with the man he's supposed to cover. I think Flo has been one of the main pieces of the OL for many years, but this year has shown that he has lost a step and he should retire. Or if he wants to play one more year draft his replacement and use next season to prepare the new guy to take over in 2012
