So seriously, why does the offense stink so much this year?

They had a slow start last year but were basically carrying the team as the defense collapsed by end of year.

- Same QB
- Same receivers and tight ends. No Gallup. No problem. Nice to see Tolbert step up so much last night.
- Same offensive system and coaches again.
- no more Pollard but wasn't like he tore it up last year, Rico Dowdle did great last night, admittedly RB depth pretty bad this year
- same goal line fumbling fullback
- offensive line with the young guys causing that many problems? Because Dak was having to run for his life a lot too by end of last year.

Biggest moves were on defense. Lot of transitions on the front 7. Lost all DE depth. New noses. New LBers. New coach and scheme,

Why is the offense struggling so much this year? Dak and CeeDee take the money and call it a day?

Prescott already had the money. CD lamb it really messed his head up, do you know how many people must be calling him for handouts, he needs to figure this out,

Multiple trips to the red zone either FG’s or nothing came of it last night . 2 picks and a fumble at QB not helpful . It took Dak 3 quarters to get the message , Watt was making life miserable for Steele, get rid of the ball.

I’ve said this over and over Dak in rolling pockets or even a broken pocket scrambling on the move is much more dangerous then drop back Dak . I really dislike him under center in passing plays . The TD pass to Dowdle , Dak kept the play alive . Dowdle every bit as good a receiver threat as Pollard maybe better .

Like the Giants game CD was invisible second half . Although I will say this and have in other threads . The Cowboys last night featured three completions to three different TE’s , Dowdle and Tolbert TD grabs , Brooks had a nice catch Dowdle ran for results …spread the ball around don’t be so predictable and ATTACK !! Without 3 turnovers and a blocked FG they should have put up 30

Rookie LT

Absolutely no running game

Very little speed on the outside

Play calling is suspect

Run scheme suck beyond belief

Essentially there's no running game. It's beyond embarrassing that fans can't see the clear O line break down and lack of running the ball.

Hmmm…
2 rookie OL starters.
Not only very little rushing production but no threat of a home run… Inside zone/man run blocking scheme poor fit for personnel!
#2 WR obviously playing with knee issue before issue revealed.
Too much reliance on Lamb.
DCs had all summer to watch tape and devise ways to slow it down.

Easy answer........Teams have no respect for our running game. Last year they had to at least worry about Tony P but not this year. As defensive coor, your job/game plan is easy.....take out Lamb and Fergurson and make Dak beat you with other players and the run game.

Lack of talent. The OL is significantly worse. There are no playmakers at WR aside from Lamb. There are no legitimate RBs on the team. The TEs are nothing special (Ferguson is fine but not top-tier). Small steps down in several spots and no injection of new talent translates into a big difference.
