A few days ago I was in my office working. My office is attached to where I live. I've got 2 desks, a flat file cabinet and until two days ago I had a TV in here. We've had this TV for years. The numbers on the remote control haven't been visible in 10 years. That's how old this TV is.

I had it turned on to Sportscenter and suddenly it just died. I heard this click and the sound on the TV went off. I thought it was just a power issue at first. Nope, the TV died. I had to throw it away.

My wife is worried sick about this. She's looking for a flat screen TV for my office. I told her it's not a huge deal and she said, "we like it when you watch your sports in your office."

plasmas are so cheap these days, and they are superior to LCDs for watching sports. You can get a 42" S series Panasonic for under 600 bucks now.

That explains it. One can only take so much of BSPN, especially those advanced in age.

If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. There should be a nice television upgrade forthcoming. :D

In these parts, we call those "garages". :D
Not sure how you'd get a car into a space this sized. I guess you must drive one of those really mini things.

It even has Cowboys colors. I commend you for your eco-savvy ways but even that tiny thing would not get through the door and into my office.

Kills the myth of everything's big in Texas deader than a Commanders fan's hopes though. That's a good thing.

When our TV died, the wife and I discussed what to get to replace it and both of us decided we were happy it was gone as it was more of a distraction than anything and neither one of us wanted a new one.

We've been without TV for two peaceful wonderful years now and will probably not get a new one even though we can afford it; we just don't want it. We live way out in the middle of nowhere so there's plenty to keep us entertained. Besides, we spend our time on the internet these days and I watch the games on streaming sites.

I'm open to buying a new one if we ever get interested in one but right now neither one of us is motivated to get a new one. The peace and quiet is heavenly and we have intelligent conversations much more often than when either one of us was glued to the TV.

Please don't try this at home, folks, it could be dangerous.

Life is good and it just keeps getting better.
